Your Shekhawati Tour will start as soon as you arrive in Jaipur. Our tour representative will pick you up from Jaipur Airport, Jaipur railway station, or any other pickup point in Jaipur. We will then drive to our first destination of this tour, which is the town of Nawalgarh. This town of Nawalgarh is part of the region in Rajasthan known as the Shekhawati region. On arrival in Nawalgarh, you can do all the check-in formalities at the hotel and stay overnight at leisure.
You will begin this day with a sightseeing tour of Nawalgarh. The town of Nawalgarh is named after the founder of Nawalgarh, Thakur Nawal Singh. He was a son of a powerful ruler of the Shekhawati region called Shardul Singh. Nawalgarh is a small town but some famous industrialists and businessmen are from Nawalgarh. Goenka is a very successful business family who have their roots in Nawalgarh.
You will tour all the special and artistic havelis in Nawalgarh. These Havelis are famous for their spectacular and vivid artistic paintings and large frescoes on the walls. The major havelis in Nawalgarh which you will tour on this day are the Murarka Haveli, Aath Haveli, Khedwal Bhawan, Bhagton ki Haveli, Anandi Lal Poddar Haveli. If you have time you can also explore Ganga Mai Temple in Nawalgarh. You will now return to your hotel in Nawalgarh and rest overnight.
Mandawa is one of the major places in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. You will visit Mandawa on this day. The most famous attraction in Mandawa is Castle Mandawa, which is a medieval fort in Mandawa. This fort is now a heritage luxury hotel. Mandawa is a town which had several wealthy and prosperous merchants and traders. They built all the havelis that you see today in Mandawa. You will visit the Havelis of Goenkas, Nevatia, Chokhanias, Ladla, and Saraf. These havelis have incredible paintings and this region is also called a vast ‘Open Art Gallery of Rajasthan’.
You will visit the small village called Parasrampura, where you can watch spectacular wall art, paintings, and fresco paintings of this Shekhawati region. You will visit the Shardul Singh Cenotaph and the impressive paintings inside. Also spectacular are the other havelis called Shamji Saraf Haveli, and Gopinathji Mandir. After this visit to Mandawa, you will return to Nawalgarh and rest for the night at the hotel.
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to visit Jhunjhunu, which is a famous town in the Shekhawati region. The famous attraction in Jhunjhuni is the Rani Sati Dadi Mandir. This temple is very famous in Rajasthan. Later you will drive to Mahansar. The Havelis in Mahansar have incredible paintings and frescoes on the walls. Sona ki Dukan Haveli is a famous haveli where you can view magnificent artistic paintings and Meenakari work. Another prominent attraction that you must visit here is the Sahaj Ram Poddar Chhatri. After this visit, you will have an overnight stay at the hotel.
You will visit yet another famous attraction in the Shekhawati region, which is Ramgarh Shekhawati. The major attraction in Ramgarh Shekhawati is the Ram Gopal Poddar Chhatri. The walls and ceilings of this chhatri have very artistic paintings that show the various scenes from the Hindu epic Ramayana. Another famous attraction is the Shani Mandir. The fresco paintings here are also very beautiful. You will now visit Fatehpur Shekhawati. This town also has magnificent havelis with paintings.
