This Rajasthan Mewar Tour is your window into the history and natural beauty of the Mewar region in Rajasthan. This region has some of the biggest forts in India such as Chittorgarh Fort and Kumbhalgarh Fort. The Mewar region is also famous for its impressive temples such as Dilwara Jain Temples, and Ranakpur Temples, among several others, which are equally famous. You will tour the famous Rajasthan hill station of Mount Abu. Boating is the best thing that you will do in Nakki Lake. But the best attraction on this tour is the city of Udaipur. You will visit City Palace and do boating in Lake Pichola.
This tour of the Mewar region starts from Udaipur. Our tour representative will pick you up from the Udaipur railway station or Udaipur Airport and then transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Later you will go on a sightseeing tour of Udaipur. You will visit the City Palace, which is a huge palace complex with museums. Udaipur City Palace is famous for its architecture and this palace is on the banks of the Pichola Lake. You will visit Jagdish Temple, which is a very famous temple in Udaipur. This temple is famous for its incredible sculptures, carvings, and temple architecture.
We will then take you to visit the spectacular garden called Saheliyon ki Bari. This garden was built for the queen and her friends. Later you will visit the Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir and Pratap Memorial. After this have an overnight stay at the hotel.
You will now check out from Udaipur and visit the very famous Chittor Fort in Chittorgarh. After you arrive in the hotel in Chittorgarh you can do all the necessary check-in formalities. Later you will visit the Chittor Fort. This is a historic fort and ranks among the largest forts that were ever built in India. You will need at least 4 hours to fully explore the various palaces and monuments inside Chittor Fort. You can visit the memorials of Jaimal and Kalla on the way to the fort. These are the memorials of two soldiers who died while defending the fort from the Mughal invasion.
The various places to visit in Chittor Fort are Vijay Stambh, Rana Kumbha’s Palace, Kalika Mata Temple, Kirti Stambh, and Rani Padmini’s Palace. You can then visit the Fateh Prakash Palace Museum in Chittorgarh. There is a huge collection of swords and other weapons, crystal work, helmets, etc. After this, you can spend the rest of the day at your hotel in Chittorgarh.
You will now visit yet another famous destination of this Rajasthan Mewar Tour, which is Kumbhalgarh. After we arrive in Kumbhalgarh, you will check-in at the pre-booked hotel. After this, we will take you to visit the magnificent Kumbhalgarh Fort. This Kumbhalgarh Fort ranks among the finest and biggest forts in India. The walls of Kumbhalgarh Fort span 36 km. This fort is also among the most famous UNESCO World Heritage Site in Rajasthan. The Kumbhalgarh Fort is a very powerful fort and a big attraction in the Mewar region in Rajasthan. There are almost 36 temples, and palaces, within the fort. It will take around 3-4 hours to explore the Kumbhalgarh Fort. Later you can rest overnight at the hotel in Kumbhalgarh.
After an early breakfast, we will now visit another incredible destination of this Rajasthan Mewar Tour, which is Ranakpur. On arrival in Ranakpur, you will check-in at the hotel. Ranakpur is a famous Jain temple and a big pilgrimage destination for the Jain religion. The carvings and temple architecture in Ranakpur Temple are among the finest examples of temple architecture in the whole of India. This Ranakpur Temple is a big temple complex with many temples. You will visit the most famous Chaumukha Temple, which is also known as the Four-Faced Temple. The temple was built in 1439 and is dedicated to Lord Adinath. There are 1444 pillars in the temple with the finest carvings. There are 29 huge halls in the temples, and the entire temple is built of white marble stone. Later you will have a night's stay in Ranakpur.
You will check-out from Ranakpur on this day and drive to Mount Abu. This hill station is the most scenic place and the only hill station in Rajasthan. On arrival in Mount Abu, you can check-in at the hotel. We will now go on a sightseeing tour of Mount Abu. We will take you to visit the famous Dilwara Jain Temple. The marble carvings on the temple are among the finest temple art in India. The mesmerizing sculptures, idols, pillars, and ceilings have incredible carvings on a marble stone. Tejpal Temple is dedicated to the Jain Tirthankara called Neminath. Two brothers called Tejpal and Vastupal built the temple with extraordinary artistic skills.
Nakki Lake is another famous tourist attraction in Mount Abu. You can do boating in Nakki Lake. The name of this lake has a history behind it. According to a mythological legend, a god dug the earth with just his nails, and hence the lake was formed at the place. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the local market and spend the rest of the day at the hotel in Mount Abu.
On this day you will return to Udaipur from Mount Abu. After arrival in Udaipur, you can check-in at the hotel and then visit Lake Pichola. You will go on a boat ride in Lake Pichola and visit the various islands in the lake. These islands have magnificent palaces. These palaces are Taj Lake Palace, Jag Mandir Palace, Arsi Vilas, and Mohan Mandir. A boat ride on Pichola Lake at sunset times is the best experience for tourists. You can also view the Aravalli mountain peaks from your boat. In the distance, you can view the white-colored Monsoon Palace.
After this boat ride in Lake Pichola, you can explore Bagore ki Haveli. There are over a hundred rooms with mosaic glasswork, costumes, mirror work, paintings, and vintage décor. You can explore the local market in Udaipur and shop for some handicraft items. After this, we will drop you at Udaipur Airport or Udaipur Railway Station and you can then take a flight or train to your home town.
