Jaisalmer Fort
Jaisalmer Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a complete city in itself. This fort is the topmost tourist attraction in Jaisalmer. Within its huge walls and ramparts are temples, medieval mansions, gates, long winding lanes, shops, and houses. Almost half of the population of Jaisalmer lives inside this fort. Jaisalmer Fort is also famous by the name of Golden Fort as it glows during sunset times due to its sandstone construction. This massive fortress offers very scenic views of the surrounding desert lands as it is built over a hill.

Patwon ki Haveli
One of the best places in Jaisalmer that you will visit on this full-day Jaisalmer sightseeing tour is Patwon ki Haveli. This is a mansion built by a very rich merchant called Guman Chand Patwa, and it took 50 years to build this haveli. He later builds five more havelis for his sons. You will see the most beautiful mirror work, carvings, paintings, and jharokhas (latticed windows). All five havelis were built at the beginning of the 19th century. The artifacts that you will see here are a glorious example of the rich past of Jaisalmer merchants.

Kuldhara Abandoned Village
Kuldhara is an abandoned and ruined village near Jaisalmer and is worth visiting due to its eerie nature. Kuldhara is famous for its evil horror stories and paranormal activities. But there is not much truth in this. You can find ruined houses in the middle of the vast Thar Desert. Its residents who fled due to the atrocities of an evil minister called Salim Singh deserted these houses overnight. You will find an abandoned well and a temple along with the houses.

Nathmal ki Haveli
Another famous haveli or mansion that you will visit on this one-day sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer is Nathmal ki Haveli. This haveli has the most spectacular architecture and is notable as it has two very different styles of architecture. But the carvings on yellow sandstone are brilliant in their artistic looks. The latticed windows and cupolas are outstanding works of art. Inside are paintings made of gold leaves and some unique objects and relics.

Vyas Chhatri
Vyas Chhatri is the name of the group of memorials that were built for the former kings of Jaisalmer. These sandstone memorials have incredible architecture and look very scenic with the backdrop of the sunsets. These cenotaphs are constructed with Rajasthani architecture and are named after the great sage Vyas, who wrote the epic Mahabharata. Vyas Chhatri is best for pre-wedding shoots and you can shoot innumerable selfies with the backdrop of these memorials.

Maharaja’s Palace
One of the largest palaces inside the Jaisalmer Fort is the one called Maharaja’s Palace. This massive palace is a classic example of Rajasthani art and architecture. Its pillars, walls, courtyards, and interiors have exceptional décor and you can view Jaisalmer city and desert areas from the top floors of the palace. Among the various things you should see here are the silver throne, royal bed, sculptures, bank notes, and old stamps. The outer façade of this palace will catch your attention the moment you see it.
