Mehrangarh Fort

Undoubtedly, the number one tourist attraction in Jodhpur is the towering and massive Mehrangarh Fort. The fort is situated on a hill and its height enables it to be seen from any part of Jodhpur. The fort was built in 1459 and is one of the largest forts not only in Rajasthan, but the entire India. It has massive walls, strong defenses, and powerful bastions and ramparts. There are huge palaces, temples, courtyards, and arched gates inside the Mehrangarh Fort. You will still see the cannonball marks on the outer walls. The museum inside has royal exhibits of palanquins, elephant howdahs, miniature paintings, royal costumes, weapons, cradles, vintage furniture, turbans, and other relics. The various palaces which you can visit inside are Phool Mahal, Moti Mahal, and Sheesha Mahal.

Jaswant Thada

Another famous Jodhpur sightseeing attraction is Jaswant Thada. This is a memorial made entirely of white marble stone. Jaswant Thada is very close to Mehrangarh Fort. This monument is also called the Taj Mahal of Jodhpur. There is an incredible architecture that you will notice first in Jaswant Thada. The tall pillars, gazebos, spires, and chhatris are sculpted with exceptional architectural finesse. Maharaja Sardar Singh built Jaswant Thada in 1899 for his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. There is a small lake and a lush green garden beside the cenotaph.

Umaid Bhawan Palace

Perhaps there is no better example of the royal heritage of Jodhpur than the massive palace called Umaid Bhawan Palace. This palace is world-famous across the world as the largest private residence. Umaid Bhawan Palace is a marvel of the highest architectural skills. Its magnificent structure can be viewed even from Mehrangarh Fort. The royal family of Jodhpur still resides in one of the portions of Umaid Bhawan Palace. One part is a museum where you can view priceless objects such as costumes, weapons, vintage cars, stuffed leopards, photographs, and other relics. Umaid Bhawan Palace was built to employ the hundreds of poor people of Jodhpur who were rendered unemployed due to famine. There are more than 300 rooms and royal suites, courtyards, banquet halls, landscaped gardens and lawns, and dining rooms, in this palace.

Mandore Garden

You will see the ancient capital of Mandore on this full-day sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. Mandore Gardens is a complex of many memorials and temples. The Clock Tower in the old city of Jodhpur is about 100 years old and was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh. It is one of the gates to the old city of Jodhpur. The market around the Clock Tower is a buzzing market where you can shop for bangles, jewelry, pickles, shoes, handicraft items, and many other things. You can climb on top of the Clock Tower and view the surrounding area of Jodhpur. There are many food stalls, and restaurants, offering delicious food around Clock Tower.

Any cancellation made before 20 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 30% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.

In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveller an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.
