Your 6N 7D Tamil Nadu tour starts from Chennai. As you arrive at the airport or railway station in Chennai we pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. After this, you will visit the famous sightseeing places in Chennai such as Santhome Church, Marina Beach, Kapaleeswarar Temple, and Ashtalakshmi Temple. You can dine at some popular restaurant and return to your hotel in Chennai.
You will now check out from your hotel in Chennai and drive to your next big tourist destination, which is the temple town of Tirupati. Chennai to Tirupati is a drive of around 4 hours by car. The Srikalahasti Temple falls on the route and you can make a short halt to visit this temple. The temple is one of the famous temples of Lord Shiva. You drive onwards on this route and reach Tirupati. On arrival, you can complete check-in procedures and visit the very famous Tirumala Temple. This temple ranks among the richest temples in India and is an immensely sacred temple. You can visit many other temples if you have time such as Govindaraja Temple, Sri Venkateswara Temple, etc. Tirupati is known for its Andhra cuisine, which includes flavorful dishes such as Pulihora, Bisi Bele Bhath, Andhra Thali, etc. You can taste the delicious street food here in a popular restaurant in Tirupati and rest for the night at your hotel.
You will now check out from Tirupati and proceed to your next destination of this tour, which is Vellore. Tirupati to Vellore is just a drive of around 2-3 hours. Vellore is a famous city more famous for its fort called Vellore Fort. This is a 16th-century fort that is a supreme example of military architecture and the impregnable power of the Vijayanagara Empire. You can visit many structures inside the fort such as the Jalakandeswarar Temple. Thereafter you will visit the Government Museum and see the ancient collection over there. You will now return to your hotel and rest for the night.
After a delightful breakfast, you will now bid adieu to Vellore and proceed to your next destination of this tour which is Tiruchirappalli. We will take 6 hours to reach Trichy by car. Trichy is one of the ancient cities in Tamil Nadu. Rockfort Temple is a collection of three temples that are situated on top of a huge rock formation. The temple is located on a huge rocky formation and has three famous temples. You can visit Ranganathaswamy Temple and Jambukeshwar Temple if time permits you. After this visit returns to your hotel in Trichy and rests for the night.
You will now check out from Trichy and drive onwards to Rameswaram. It will be a drive of around 5-6 hours. After checking and resting you will now do sightseeing here. Rameswaram is on an island called Pamban Island and which is famous for its temples. The major temple here is the famous Ramanathaswamy Temple, which is one of the famous Jyotirlinga temples in India. This temple has the second-longest corridor in the world. The linga in this temple is made of natural elements such as sand, salt, stone, etc. Thereafter visit other sites such as Ramjharoka Temple, Adams Bridge, Dhanushkodi, Agnitheertham, Tamjharoke Temple, etc. You will be back at your hotel in the evening and rest.
You will check out from your hotel in Rameswaram and proceed to visit Madurai, which is a drive of around 4 hours by car. Madurai is a famous city in Tamil Nadu and it is more than 2500 years old. After checking in you will visit the most famous temple here, which is Meenakshi Amman Temple. You can admire the sheer architectural beauty of Koodal Azhagar Temple and Thirumalai Nayak Palace. Thereafter visit Gandhi Memorial Museum and revisit history through several exhibits. In the evening you can rest at your hotel after a delicious dinner.
You can now check out from your hotel in Madurai and head to Chennai from where you can take a return flight or train to your home town.
