Your 8N 9D Uttar Pradesh tour will start on your arrival in Lucknow. We will pick you up from the airport or railway station and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Later in the day, you can explore some top tourist places in Lucknow. We will recommend you visit the Bara Imambara, Ambedkar Park, Chota Imambara, Rumi Darwaza, Gomti River Front, and the Hazratganj neighborhood. You can do some shopping here and also find a popular restaurant and dine on some delicious Lucknow street food delicacies. Later have an overnight stay at the hotel and rest.
You will begin this day with a day trip from Lucknow to Naimisharanya. This town is one of the most sacred places and it is associated with many Hindu mythological tales and Puranas. It is also related very closely to the Hindu epic Ramayana. As such there are many temples here and religious spots which you will visit on your day trip. Chakratirth is a sacred pond that was believed to have sprung up when the Sudarshana Chakra of Vishnu fell here. You will visit Lalita Devi Temple, which is a Shaktipeeth temple of Devi Sati. Naimisharanya was the place where numerous sages and rishis meditated and performed yagnas. Lord Ram also performed the Ashwamegh Yagna in Naimisharanya and this spot is called Dashashwamedh Ghat. You can visit other small temples and sacred water tanks here. After this visit, return to Lucknow and spend the rest of the day exploring Lucknow or at your hotel.
After this trip to Lucknow, you will checkout from the hotel and we will visit yet another famous Uttar Pradesh destination, it is called Ayodhya. The road trip from Lucknow to Ayodhya is about 3 hours of driving by car. On arrival in Ayodhya, you can check in at the hotel and we will go on a sightseeing tour of Ayodhya. Lord Ram, one of the divine avatars of Lord Vishnu was born here in Ayodhya. We will do boating in the Saryu River and it is one of the most memorable experiences to have in Ayodhya. We will then attend the aarti at one of the famous Surya Ghats and visit the Dashrath Mahal, which was the residence of Raja Dashrath. Shri Hanuman Garhi Mandir is one of the famous temples that we will visit. We will also visit Ram ki Padi, which is one of the most beautiful river ghats on the Saryu River. You will enjoy the scenic views of the river and people and temples along this ghat. Later visit Kanak Bhawan, and it was the building that Kaikeyi gifted to Sita. You can take part in
We will now check out from Ayodhya and proceed to visit another famous place in Uttar Pradesh, which is the holy city of Allahabad. This city is famous for being one of the holiest cities in India. We will visit Triveni Sangam, which is the place where three of Indiaβs holiest rivers meet, and they are Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical river Saraswati. It is said that a holy dip at this place will make you pure from sins. If you have time also visit Sangam Ghat and Akbar Fort. We will then proceed to Chitrakoot, which is our next big Uttar Pradesh destination. Chitrakoot is just about a 3-4 hour drive from Prayagraj. On reaching Chitrakoot, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day here.
You will do a full-day tour of Chitrakoot on this day. Chitrakoot is one of the places where Ram, Laxman, and Sita spent over 13 years of their life when they were in their exile. You will visit some top tourist places here such as Gupt Godavari, Ram Ghat, Janki Kund, Bharat Milap Mandir, and Hanuman Dhara. In the evening you can rest for the day at your hotel.
We will proceed to the next Uttar Pradesh destination of this tour, which is Varanasi. You will reach Varanasi after around 5-6 hours of driving. Varanasi is the new name of Kashi, the holiest city in ancient India. On arrival in Varanasi, you can do boating here in the Ganges River. Later explore the lanes of Varanasi and visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the main Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva. We will also visit other temples such as Vishalakshi Temple and Annapurna Devi Temple. In the evening you explore the local bazaar and dine in a popular restaurant. Later, you can rest for the day at your hotel.
We will begin this day with a sightseeing tour of Varanasi. We will visit some famous temples here such as Bhairav Nath Temple, Later visit Bharat Mata Mandir, Bharat Mata Mandir, Tulsi Manas Temple, and Sankat Mochan Temple. You can take part in the famous Ganga Aarti at the Dasawamedh Ghat. You can now spend the rest of the day at your hotel and have overnight rest.
We will visit Bodh Gaya on this day. You will checkout from Varanasi, and proceed to Bodh Gaya, which is famous for the Mahabodhi Temple. This is a 7th-century temple and is built on the places where Buddha became enlightened. The Mahabodhi Temple has spectacular Mauryan-age architecture. We will later visit the Vishnupad Temple, where, it is said, that Vishnu killed the demon named Gayasura and buried him underground. The temple is very famous for its death rites and you too can do the shraddha rituals here. But the main interesting thing about this temple is the large footprint of Lord Vishnu, which is more than 40 cm in length. The next attraction that we will visit in Bodh Gaya is the Bodhi Tree, which is the fig tree under which Gautam Buddha became enlightened. You can now return to your hotel in Bodh Gaya and spend the rest of the day.
We will now conclude our tour and proceed to Patna, which is our departure point. From Patna, you can proceed to return to your home town via flight or train.
