This is the beginning of our Assam family tour. After you arrive at Guwahati International Airport, our tour representative will greet you. Then transfer you to the pre-booked hotel in Kaziranga. You will check into the hotel or resort in Kaziranga and then relax for the rest of the day. View the serene beauty of the jungle and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. You will have an overnight stay in the hotel after dinner.
Kaziranga National Park ranks among the finest national parks in India. One-horned Rhinoceros is the most famous animal for which people visit this national park. This species of Rhinoceros is very rare and is only found in the North Eastern states like Assam.

Our itinerary for Assam tour packages for family includes an Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park. You will wake up early and begin this elephant safari in Kaziranga National Park. Check into the hotel on your arrival in Shillong. After you have freshened up and have some refreshments, you can explore the surrounding areas. Have a casual time and relax in your hotel room. You will have dinner and then an overnight stay in the hotel.
This will be a very exciting day in this Assam family tour. After breakfast, we will take you on an excursion to Cherrapunjee. You will go sightseeing at some beautiful tourist places in Cherrapunjee.
First is the Nohkalikai Falls, which is one of the tallest waterfalls in India. We will take you to a viewpoint from where you can view this spectacular waterfall. You will be amazed by the sheer height of this waterfall from a distance.
We will now take you to another famous waterfall, which is Seven Sisters Falls. This particular waterfall is so famous in Shillong, that it has ranked among the list of the largest waterfalls in India. People also call this waterfall by other names like Nohsngithiang Falls or Mawsmai Falls. The waterfall is 70 meters in height, and this makes it one of the tallest waterfalls in India. When the rainy season is in full swing, the waterfall can be seen in all its beauty. It falls off the cliff in the mountains in roaring cascades.
We will now proceed onwards and visit the Mawsmai Caves. You will trek through the jungle and reach this cave. You can view the strange Stalactites and Stalagmites formations in this cave. The caves are popular as one of the longest cave systems in Meghalaya.
Next, we will visit Arwah Caves. We will also cover this cave on this day. Arwah Caves have prehistoric fossils and strange limestone formations. The trek through the forest will be an exciting thing to do.
After this sightseeing tour of Cherrapunjee, we will drop you off at the hotel in Shillong. You can have dinner and then overnight stay.

We will start with Shillong Peak, which has beautiful views of Shillong. You can trek up Shillong Peak and view the beautiful sunrises. The Shillong Peak is 1965 meters tall and is a huge tourist attraction in Shillong.
We will now proceed further on this tour and visit Elephant Falls. The falls are in three stages and are beautiful to look at. In the rainy season, you can view this waterfall in its true natural beauty.

This is the last and final day of this Assam family tour. After you have your breakfast we will start our Guwahati tour. You can view the spectacular tourist attractions in Guwahati on this tour. We will begin this Guwahati sightseeing tour with Kamakhya Temple. This temple is of the Goddess Kamakhya Devi. She is a divine incarnation of Goddess Parvati. The temple is renowned for its Tantrik practices. It is also one of the Shakti Peeth of the goddess.
