Later we will visit the nearby lakes like Peng Teng Tso Lake and Sungester Lake. The locals also know the lake as Madhuri Lake. The lake is named after Madhuri Dixit, who worked in the movie Koyla. This is going to be a very special day of our Assam and Meghalaya. Today we will visit the famous places in Meghalaya. We will start with Mawlynnong Village. This village has been named the ‘Cleanest Village in Asia’. Then we will visit the Living Root Bridge. This is a man-made wonder and is made using the roots of trees. The bridge forms a connection between different villages and is used by the Khasi tribe. You can walk on the Living Root Bridge and be amazed by its architecture.
We will visit the Balancing Rock in Mawlynnong. You can watch the impressive rock structure where a huge rock balances itself on a small rock. The structure has remained in this position for centuries and no storm has been able to disturb it.
The next attraction of our tour is Dawki River, which is known for its crystal clear waters. There is no pollution here and therefore, the water of this river has remained clear. You can watch the bottom of the river, which is strewn with stones. You can go boating here and watch the beauty of this river.
We will visit the village of Tamabil, which lies on the border of India and Bangladesh. You can now return to the hotel and spend the day with relaxing activities. Later have dinner and then overnight stay in the hotel.

You will check-out from the hotel in Shillong, as per our Assam and Meghalaya package. Then proceed to Guwahati. On the route, make a short halt at Maha Mrityunjai Temple. The temple is famous as one of the tallest Shivlinga in the world. The height of the shivlinga is 126 feet.
Then visit Kamakhya Temple, which is famous for its Tantrik practices. The temple comes in the list of the 51 Shakti Peeth temples of Goddess Parvati. You can have Mukh Darshan the deity of the temple. Then we will move further and you can have a ropeway ride on the Brahmaputra River. You can have aerial views of Umananda Temple and Peacock Island from this ropeway ride. Later we will take you on a river cruise over the Brahmaputra River.
