Any tour of Delhi is incomplete without a tour of Chandni Chowk. This market is one of the oldest markets in Delhi and is famous for its street food. In Mughal times, there were water channels in Chandni Chowk, and moonlight reflected from the waters hence its name is Chandni Chowk. Shah Jahan designed this market for his daughter Jahanara in the 17th century. This is a huge wholesale market and you will find narrow lanes full of shops offering spices, dry fruits, jewelry, ornaments, sarees, electronic goods, shoes, etc. You can view various mansions called havelis, small neighborhoods, wells, and residential areas inside this enormous market. You should taste the varieties of street food here such as chaats, parathe, sweets, and jalebi among others.

Red Fort

India Gate

India Gate is a war memorial which is dedicated to the British soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War I and the 3rd Anglo-Afghan War in 1919. The names of 13000 soldiers are inscribed on India Gate. India Gate is in the Rajpath area of Delhi and has an architecture similar to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France. Rashtrapati Bhavan

Parliament House

Qutub Minar
