Triveni Sangam

This is the place in Allahabad where India’s most holy rivers which are the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati meet. This place is called Triveni Sangam as it is the meeting place of three rivers. Triveni Sangam is a very holy place and you can have a dip here. There is a great religious and spiritual significance of bathing here as it purifies you from all the sins that you have committed. This is also the place where the greatest religious celebration on earth called the Kumbh Mela is held.

Shankar Viman Mandapam

This is a very sacred place in Allahabad which is called Shankar Viman Mandapam. It is located on the Triveni Sangam and is dedicated to the great Lord Shiva. This is a multi-storey temple and you will find the idols of various Indian gods and goddesses here. It has a Dravidian style of architecture and this temple will remind you of the glorious temples in South India. The various gods in this Shankar Viman Mandapam are Kamakshi Devi, Tirupati Balaji, Adi Shankaracharya, Kumari Bhatt, etc.

Lalita Devi Temple

Lalita Devi Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths of Devi Sati, and this temple is a very sacred temple that you can visit on your Allahabad Full-Day Sightseeing Tour. The deity of this temple is also known as Matarani. The three idols of Durga, Saraswati, and Lakshmi have a divine aura and the place itself is very peaceful. According to Hindu legends, the fingers of Devi Sati fell at the place where the temple is situated.

Minto Park

Minto Park in Allahabad is also famous by the name of Madan Mohan Malaviya Park. This monument is a pillar with four lion sculptures on top and was made on the orders of the Earl of Minto in 1910. It is a very beautiful and elegant monument and is surrounded by walking trails, greenery, and snack shops. It looks very much like the Ashokan Pillar.
