Your Chhattisgarh tour will start from Raipur. We will pick you up from the railway station or airport and visit Bilaspur. On the way we will make short halts to visit Somnath Temple, where you can go for a boat ride. The Shiva temple is located at the confluence of two rivers called Shivnath and Kharun. Later visit the Madku Dweep, which is a small island on the Shivnath River. The island was the place where a great sage called Manduka Rishi lived. You can visit the temple here and there is a statue of Manduka Rishi writing the Manduka Upanishad. Later visit the village of Tala, which is famous for the Devrani Jethani Temples, which were built during the 6th century. We will drive to Bilaspur, and later drive to Ratanpur. Here we will visit Mahamaya Temple, which is one of the famous 52 Shakti Peeth Temples. We will now drive to Amarkantak where you can check-in at your resort and stay overnight.
We will begin this day with a sightseeing tour of Amarkantak. This hill station is the origin of the Narmada River. We will visit some very ancient temples like Kalachuri Temples and Yantra Mandir. These temples have incredible architecture and were built around the 11th century. Pushkar Sarovar and Savitri Sarovar are the other places we will visit. Narmada Udgam Sthal which is the origin of the Narmada River, is on the banks of the Savitri Sarovar. You can visit Doodh Dhara and Kapildhara, which are two of the most beautiful waterfalls in Amarkantak. After this visit to Amarkantak, we will drive on to Raipur and this is the end of this tour.
