You will start your Nepal Tour by arriving in Kathmandu via flight. As you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our tour representative will receive you with a traditional welcome. We will now transfer you to the pre-booked hotel in Kathmandu. On arrival at the hotel, you can do the check-in process and rest in the hotel room after a long flight. You can spend the rest of the day shopping or exploring the bazaars of Kathmandu. Thamel is a good place to explore and you will find many shops this is a commercial area in Kathmandu with several shops, travel agencies, restaurants, hotels, and cafes. You can also choose to explore Indra Chowk, which is a huge square where lots of celebrations and festivals take place. You can view a demonstration of the Singing Bowl in a shop in Kathmandu and learn about this unique Tibetan healing method. Later we will escort you to the hotel and you can have a delicious dinner. At the end of the day, you will spend the night in the hotel in Kathmandu.
Today we will embark on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu and visit its topmost tourist landmarks. We will start with the most famous temple in Kathmandu, which is none other than Pashupatinath Temple. This is a temple of Lord Shiva and is considered to be the only Jyotirlinga temple outside India. Pashupatinath Temple has a very scenic surrounding and this temple is located on the Bagmati River. This holy temple of Pashupatinath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nepal. The pagoda style of architecture of this temple and its enormous courtyard has beautiful sculptures and carvings.
The next monument that we will visit in Kathmandu is Boudhanath Stupa. This is a huge stupa with colored flags fluttering in the winds. Boudhanath Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the biggest stupas in Nepal and the world.
Patan Durbar Square is the next place that we will visit in this Kathmandu Tour. This is one of the three beautiful squares in Kathmandu and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This was once the capital city of Lalitpur in the olden days. The magnificent architecture of its palaces and temples, with a huge courtyard, is a visually captivating sight. Most of the buildings here were built with red sandstone and the carvings and sculptures are breathtakingly beautiful.
We will now visit Swayambhunath Temple, which is one of the holiest Buddhist shrines and temples in Kathmandu. There is the main stupa, which is surrounded by many smaller shrines, temples, and stupas. You will find beautiful sculptures, idols, and carvings on doors, panels, and courtyards here with magnificent architecture.
The next place that we will visit is Thamel. Here you will find a huge market with shops selling ornaments, jewelry, Nepalese arts and handicraft items, branded products, gems, and other items. After this tour of Kathmandu, you can return to your hotel and stay here for the night.
Today you will check-out from Kathmandu and proceed to visit Nagarkot by car ride. On the route, you will see the beautiful Nepalese landscapes and mountain views. Nagarkot is a picturesque town, which offers magnificent views of Himalayan mountain ranges like Annapurna, Manaslu, Mount Everest, and others. On reaching Nagarkot you can check-in at the hotel and then spend the whole day viewing the natural scenery of the snow-capped Himalayan mountain peaks. Many viewpoints in Nagarkot offer unhindered views of the mountains. There are some temples you can explore here. Buddha Peace Park is one such place you can visit and you can sit for some moments in the gardens here. Later in the day you will return to your hotel in Nagarkot and rest here for the night.
This is the last day of this Nepal Tour. You must wake up early in Nagarkot and watch the sunrise views from behind the mountains. The colors of the sky at dawn are spectacular and they spread over the entire landscape turning it into a crimson red color. After this, you can go for a little hiking in the mountains and explore the wilderness of the region more closely. The sound of birds and the natural surroundings will bring a new freshness and rejuvenate you from mind and body. Come back to your hotel for breakfast and then check-out from Nagarkot. You will now go back to Kathmandu and we will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport. You can board the flight back to your hometown and leave with sweet memories of this Nepal Tour.
