You will start this Sri Lanka Tour as you arrive in Colombo via flight. Our tour representative will pick you up from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and then drive on to our first destination of this Sri Lanka Tour, which is the city of Kandy. You can make a short halt on the route and visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Here you can view the handlers bathing the elephants and bottle-feed the elephant calves. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage rescues wild elephants and orphaned elephant calves. The orphanage has the largest number of captive elephants in the world.
You will now move on to this tour and reach Kandy. On arrival in Kandy, you will do the hotel check-in process and rest here and get refreshed. Later on, you can visit the very famous attraction in Kandy, which is the Temple of the Tooth Relic. This temple complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a historical place. The tooth relic is kept here in a golden casket and taken out during religious processions and festivals.
You can explore the nearby shopping areas in Kandy and do a bit of shopping. After this exciting day ends you will return to your hotel in Kandy and have a good night’s sleep in the hotel.
You will now check-out from Kandy on this second day of the Sri Lanka Tour and proceed to another famous destination, which is Nuwara Eliya. On the way you can visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden, where you can have a stroll and view various exotic flowers and plants. You can view incredible landscapes on this tour, and come across Buddhist temples, tea gardens, waterfalls, farmlands, and river streams. You can make a short halt on this route and explore a tea estate and go on a tea-tasting tour.
On arrival in Nuwara Eliya, you can check-in at the hotel and then explore the hotel surroundings and nearby areas and markets. Nuwara Eliya is known for its scenic landscapes, tea gardens, waterfalls, and towering mountains. Due to its close resemblance to the landscape of pastures and rolling hills, this city is also sometimes referred to as New England. You can go sightseeing around Lake Gregory and view tea estates and fantastic landscapes. You can choose to visit a strawberry farm and taste freshly-plucked strawberries. There are many viewpoints from where you can view the gorgeous landscapes of Nuwara Eliya. After this sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya, you can return to your hotel and stay here for the night.
Today, on this third day of the Sri Lanka Tour, you will check-out from Nuwara Eliya and proceed to yet another famous destination, which is the coastal town of Bentota. You can check-in at the hotel on arrival in Bentota and get refreshed. You can now go on and visit some of the best places in Bentota. This is a beach destination in Sri Lanka and the Bentota Beach is a very scenic beach with white sands and ocean views. You can choose to do the activity you prefer to do in Bentota.
You will now visit the Turtle Hatchery in Bentota. Here the turtle eggs are preserved and when the time arrives, the eggs hatch, and the baby turtles are released into the ocean waters. You can go on a Bentota River Safari tour and explore the mangrove forests and spot various shore birds and aquatic creatures. Among the other activities you can do in Bentota are water sports, whale-watching tours, trekking, and shopping. After this exciting day at Bentota, you will return to your hotel and stay here for the night.
You will conclude your Sri Lanka tour on this day. After check-out from Bentota, you will drive towards Colombo. On arrival in Colombo, you can do a little bit of shopping and explore the local market for souvenirs. Later you will make your way to Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. We will guide you to drop you at the airport and you can take a flight to your hometown. You will leave Sri Lanka with many wonderful memories of this tour.
