This is the first day of your tour and it will start from Delhi. We will pick you up from Delhi airport or Delhi railway station or any other pickup point. You will then check-in at your hotel in Delhi and rest for some time. Then you can explore some local markets in Delhi if you have time. You can dine in a popular restaurant in Delhi and then return to your hotel and have overnight rest.
You will begin this day with a sightseeing tour of Delhi. Jama Masjid is the first monument that you will visit. This mosque is very large and it also ranks as the biggest mosque in India. Jama Masjid is located in Purani Delhi or Old Delhi. Chandni Chowk is the next tourist attraction that we will visit in Delhi. This is a very big market in Delhi and is famous for dry fruits and spices.
You will visit the next place which is India Gate. This is a war memorial, which is similar to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. You will drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament House. Next, you will visit the Humayun Tomb, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi. After this, you will visit the Qutub Minar, which is listed as the tallest minaret made of bricks. Qutub Minar also is part of the Qutb Minar Complex in Delhi. Then you will return to your hotel and stay overnight.
After a delicious breakfast in your hotel in Delhi, you can check-out and then proceed to visit another famous destination in this Golden Triangle Tour, which is Agra. On arrival in Agra, you will check-in at the pre-booked hotel and then visit the famous Taj Mahal. This Mughal monument is one of the greatest love memorials ever built and is the grandeur of marble architecture.
You will visit the Agra Fort next. This massive fort is incredible in its architecture. The major places you will visit inside the Agra Fort are the enormous courtyards, palaces, gardens, long corridors, and massive walls. Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor was held captive inside this fort and he used to watch the Taj Mahal from the fort. You can visit Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb next and then proceed to your hotel and overnight stay.
You will check out from your hotel in Agra and drive on to Jaipur by car. On the route, you can make short halts to visit Fatehpur Sikri. This ruined Mughal capital city is one of the finest tourist attractions on this Golden Triangle Tour. The red sandstone buildings here have incredible architecture. We can now move on to visit the biggest stepwell in India, which is Chand Baori. It is also called Abhaneri Stepwell and is an incredible structure that was used to store water in medieval times. On arrival in Jaipur, you will do all the required formalities for check-in at the hotel. Later stay at the hotel for the night.
You will do a sightseeing tour of Jaipur on this day. The first monument that you will visit is the massive Amer Fort. This fort is also called Amber Palace. The elephant ride is the most exciting thing to do at Amer Fort. The fort was built with the help of red sandstone and marble. The massive fort ranks among the finest forts in India.
City Palace is the next tourist attraction that you will visit here in Jaipur. One part of the palace is still occupied by the royal family of Jaipur. The palace is a masterpiece of Rajasthani art and architecture. The palaces inside have several palaces, gates, courtyards, and temples. Some of the best places to visit here are Chandra Mahal, Pritam Niwas Chowk, Diwan-e-khas, Mubarak Mahal, and the museum. Don’t forget to visit the Peacock Gate inside the palace.
Hawa Mahal is the next tourist attraction you will visit and this palace is famous for its lattice windows which allow air to flow inside and cool the palace interiors. Hawa Mahal is an astronomical observatory that was built in 1734 and has 19 astronomical instruments to measure and monitor celestial bodies. You can now visit Johari Bazar, which is a market of jewelry, gold, silver, and other ornaments. Then you can visit the Jal Mahal, which is a magnificent palace that was built in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur. In the evening you can dine on some delicious Rajasthani dishes at a popular restaurant. Later spend the time at your hotel in Jaipur and have a rest.
This is the last day of your Golden Triangle Tour and you will check out from Jaipur and proceed to Delhi by car. We will drop you at your chosen drop-off point in Delhi.
