After an early morning start from Bangalore, we proceed to visit Shivmogga. Most people also know Shivmogga as Shimoga. This city is known as the Gateway to the Western Ghats. On this day, we visit famous places in Shimoga such as Tavarekoppa Lion Safari, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and Kudli Temple. You can also see the beautiful confluence of the Tunga and Bhadra rivers. You can return to your hotel after the sightseeing tour of Shimoga and stay overnight in the hotel or resort.
After a delicious breakfast, you can now check out from your hotel in Shimoga and proceed to head to the next destination of your tour, which is Gokarna. This is a coastal town in Karnataka, which is famous for its spectacular beaches. On the way, you can stop by to visit Jog Falls, which is the third-highest waterfall in India. After the check-in formalities at the hotel in Gokarna, you will visit Kudle Beach. You can try the various food shacks on the beach and do some water sports activities here. You can dine in your hotel and rest for the night.
Today you will embark on a full-day Gokarna tour. You will enjoy the scenic views from Om Beach and you can also go for a boat ride here. Om Beach is named due to its shape like the letter Om in Sanskrit language. You can sit for some time and admire the scenic beauty of the beach. Try the cuisines here on the beach that offers a variety of dishes. You can visit other beaches that are famous here such as Half Moon Beach and Paradise Beach. You can also do some trekking here and camp here. Half Moon Beach is a very scenic beach with a rocky shore. You can sit on the rocks and admire the sunset views. In the evening, you can return to your hotel in Gokarna and try some seafood delicacies. You can stay overnight in your hotel after a full day of sightseeing and trekking adventures.
On this day, you will visit another spectacular beach destination in Karnataka, which is Karwar. Karwar is a coastal town like Gokarna, and it is just a 1-2 hour drive from Gokarna. You will visit the most famous tourist attractions in Karwar such as Devbagh Beach, Sadashivagad Fort, and Warship Museum. The best thing that you can do in Karwar is a boat ride on the Kali River, which is a memorable experience. In the evening you will visit Rabindranath Tagore Beach. In Karwar, you can try some delicious seafood dishes in famous restaurants. After this visit, you will now return to Gokarna and rest for the night in your hotel.
On the fifth day of your tour, you will now check out from your hotel in Gokarna and drive toward Udupi. This is another famous city in Karnataka that is located on the seacoast of the Arabian Sea. On the way, you will visit Murudeshwar. This coastal town is famous for Murudeshwar Shiva Temple. The temple has a tall statue of Lord Shiva and is located right on the beach. If you have time you must go on a boat ride in the backwaters at Honnavar. The Shraavati Backwater Boat ride is one of the most pleasant experiences to have on this tour. Go on the Shravathi Boardwalk and see the mangrove forests from the top. This road trip to Udupi takes you to yet another top tourist attraction, and that is the Apsarakonda Falls. In the evening time, you can now come to Udupi, and rest for the day.
Start your day with a full-day sightseeing tour of Udupi. This coastal city in Karnataka is famous for its cuisine, scenic beaches, and temples. Visit Udupi Sri Krishna Matt, which is a huge temple of Lord Krishna in Udupi. Karkala is yet another famous attraction near Udupi. You can drive to Karkala which is merely an hour’s drive from Udupi. You will visit Chaturmukha Basadi, Bahubali Statue, and St Lawrence Basilica in Karkala. Keep the evening free as you will visit Malpe Beach and St Mary’s Island. You can walk on Malpe Seawalk and see the entire strip of beach. St Mary’s Island is full of rocky beaches and you can rest here on the beach and admire the magnificent sunsets. Return to your hotel in Udupi and rest for the night.
You will now check out from your hotel in Udupi. You will begin this day with an exciting Kayak ride at Mulki. Afterward, visit Suratkal Beach or Panambur Beach in Mangalore. Your journey will not turn inland as you drive to Sakleshpur. You will visit the most famous fort here called Manjarabad Fort. This is a star-shaped fort with incredible architecture. Tipu Sultan built it in 1792. Sakleshpur is on the Western Ghats in Karnataka and has spectacular natural beauty. You will now check-in at your hotel in Sakleshpur and stay overnight at your hotel.
You will check out from your hotel and drive to Bangalore. You can make halts to admire the tourist landmarks on the way such as Shettihalli Church. This church is famous as the Submerged Church and The Floating Church. If you are visiting in the month of the monsoon rains, you will see only a ruined church that is submerged in water and only part of the church is visible to us. Afterward, drive on to visit the famous archaeological site of Shravanbelagola. The Gomateshwara Statue here is the tallest statue ever built in ancient India. Now return to Bangalore and we will drop you at the airport or railway station.
