Your 8N 9D Madhya Pradesh tour will start as you arrive in Bhopal. Our representative will pick you up from the airport or railway station and drive you to your hotel. Upon check-in and rest, you will visit some popular Bhopal places. Bhopal is the capital city of Madhya Pradesh and is famous for its lakes and Buddhist heritage sites. We will visit the Tribal Museum where you will see the magnificent art and crafts of the tribal people of Madhya Pradesh. The galleries here showcase the traditional houses, handicrafts, games, and culture of the tribes. Later we will visit Upper Lake, which is one of the two lakes in Bhopal. Here you can do boating and shoot some selfies with a scenic background of the sunset. In the evening you will return to your hotel and dine on some delicious food. You can now rest for the day at the hotel.
On this day we will visit the Buddhist heritage site of Sanchi Stupa. You will reach Sanchi within just an hour of driving from Bhopal. Sanchi Stupa is a Buddhist archaeological site near Bhopal. It is one of the greatest stupas of Buddhism and was built in the 3rd century by the great Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. Sanchi Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and you can visit various caves, sculptures, carvings, stupas, and Buddhist monasteries. We will then visit another famous archaeological site that is the Bhimbetka Caves. These are prehistoric caves near Bhopal and have rock paintings that were made by prehistoric people who lived here during the Stone Age. Bhimbetka Cave is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will now return to Bhopal after this archaeological visit and rest overnight at the hotel.
Today we will start our journey to yet another famous place in Madhya Pradesh, which is Jabalpur. We will check out from Bhopal and reach Jabalpur after a drive of around 6 hours. On arriving in Jabalpur, we will check in at our hotel and you can rest here overnight and prepare for yet another day of sightseeing.
We will do a trip to Bhedaghat, which is a small town near Jabalpur. Bhedaghat is famous for its marble rock formations. The Narmada River flows through these marble rocks and creates a stunningly beautiful; landscape. This place is so beautiful that it featured in innumerable Bollywood movies. You can do river boating in the Narmada River and sail through these marble rocks which surround you from all sides. You can also visit another beautiful place here which is Dhuandhar Waterfall. You will fall in wonder and awe looking at the sight of the thundering waterfall cascading through the rocks. You can spend about 2-3 hours easily at this place. We will also visit Gwarighat, which is a temple, where you will attend the evening aarti. You will return to your hotel in the evening and have overnight rest.
We will now check out from Jabalpur and head to our next Madhya Pradesh destination, which is Khajuraho. We will reach Khajuraho after a drive of around 6-7 hours. Upon reaching Khajuraho you can check in at our hotel and later have an overnight stay.
We will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khajuraho on this day. The famous temples here are incredibly beautiful temples with fantastic architecture, carvings, and erotic sculptures. We will visit the most famous temples here such as Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, Javari Temple, Matangeshwar Temple, and Lakshmana Temple. We will enjoy the Sound and Light Show in the evening, where we will know every bit of history about the Khajuraho Temples.
On this day we will visit another famous Madhya Pradesh destination, which is Gwalior. On the way we will make a stop at Orchha where we will visit its famous Orchha Fort, which is built on top of a hill and is on the Betwa River. Later we will visit Jhansi Fort, which is a 17th-century fort with incredible architecture. When we reach Gwalior we will check in at our hotel and rest overnight.
We will begin this day with a sightseeing tour of Gwalior. We will visit the incredibly powerful Gwalior Fort, which is a hilltop fort with very strong architecture and defense. We will also visit Jai Vilas Palace, which is a spectacular royal palace that has a museum. Here you can visit various historic objects and weapons. We will visit the magnificent Sahastrabahu Temple, which is more popular than Saas Bahu Temple. The temple is an outstanding work of art, architecture, carvings, and sculptures. In the evening you can spend the remaining day shopping or relax at your hotel.
We will now check out from Gwalior and you can leave for your home town from Gwalior railway station or airport.
