Day Wise Itinerary Download

1Day Arrival in Delhi

Your tour will start as soon as you arrive in Delhi. Our tour representative will meet you at the airport or railway station and transfer you to the hotel which is pre-booked by you for this tour. You will spend the rest of the day at your hotel or exploring the nearby areas. You will now rest overnight at your Delhi hotel and prepare for the next day of sightseeing.

2Day Delhi sightseeing

You will begin this tour with a sightseeing tour of Delhi and visit some famous monuments of Delhi. You can begin by visiting Chandni Chowk, which is a very old market in Delhi. This is part of the original Delhi and is a walled city built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century. Then visit Red Fort, one of the mighty forts of the Mughal dynasty. Raj Ghat is also a popular tourist spot and is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. You will visit Jama Masjid, which is one of the largest mosques in India and can accommodate 25000 worshippers at a single point in time. Later after lunch, you can visit Humayun’s Tomb, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Parliament House, Qutub Minar, and India Gate. All these are the most visited monuments in Delhi. Later in the evening you can explore Connaught Place and do some shopping. There are many popular restaurants in Delhi where you can have street food. Later return to your hotel and spend the rest of the night at leisure.

3Day Delhi to Varanasi

You will now check out from Delhi and move to visit Varanasi, which is the next big Uttar Pradesh destination of your tour. We will pick you up at the airport or railway station and transfer you to the hotel in Varanasi, which is pre-booked by you for this tour. We will now visit Sarnath, which is famous for the Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, and its archaeological museum. Sarnath was one of the most famous Buddhist pilgrimage places in the olden days. Sarnath is a very important Buddhist site as Gautam Buddha gave his first sermon after he attained enlightenment at Bodh Gaya. After this visit to Sarnath, you will come back to Varanasi and rest overnight at the hotel.

4Day Varanasi sightseeing

We will begin this day with a sightseeing tour of Varanasi. First do boating in the Ganges River and see the beautiful bathing ghats on the river banks and the cremation grounds. For centuries, people come here to cremate their family members as they believe that anyone who dies in Varanasi gets free from the cycle of birth and death. You can also visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is a very ancient temple of Lord Shiva and ranks among the foremost Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva. Later we will check out from Varanasi and then proceed on to our next big destination of this tour, which is Bodh Gaya. On your arrival in Bodh Gaya, we will pick you up at the railway station or airport and transfer you to the hotel. You can spend the rest of the day at the hotel and relax for the night.

5Day Bodh Gaya sightseeing

After breakfast, we will visit the Mahabodhi Temple and Bodhi Tree. This is the place where Gautam Buddha was enlightened with special knowledge about humankind and the universe. The archaeological museum here has priceless relics and objects relating to Buddhism. You can return to your hotel after this visit and rest overnight.

6Day Bodh Gaya to Patna

In the morning you will check out from Bodh Gaya and proceed to your next destination of this tour, which is Patna. On the way, you will stop at Rajgir and Nalanda. These are the most important Buddhist sites of learning and the Nalanda University was at one time the major university of ancient India. Rajgir is a religious pilgrimage site for Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists. We will now visit Patna, where you can check in at the hotel and rest overnight at the hotel.

7Day Patna to Kushinagar

You will now check out from Patna on this day and visit yet another famous destination of this tour, which is the ancient city of Kushinagar. You can make a halt on the way and visit Vaishali, where Buddha made his last sermon to his followers. You will find the best preserved Ashoka Pillar at Vaishali. Later on, arrive in Kushinagar, check-in at the hotel, and visit Parinirvana Stupa and temple, and this is where you will find the huge statue of the reclining Buddha. You will visit Ramabhar Stupa and which is the place where Buddha was cremated. At the end of this visit, you will come back to your hotel in Kushinagar and rest overnight.

8Day Kushinagar to Lumbini

We will embark on a trip to one of the main Buddhist centers in the world, that is Lumbini. We will check out from Kushinagar and then drive on to Lumbini, which is a drive of about 4-5 hours. Lumbini was the place where Siddhartha Gautam was born and the Lumbini Sanskritik Complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nepal. There is the Ashoka Pillar, which is very well preserved, and many stupas and ancient ruins that you can visit in Lumbini. You will visit Maya Devi Temple and which is the exact birthplace of Buddha. You will also visit the Mayadevi Pond, where Maya Devi bathed before giving birth to Buddha. You can now come back to your hotel in Lumbini and spend the rest of the day here.

9Day Lumbini to Balrampur

In the morning you will check out from Lumbini and proceed to Balrampur. After hotel check-in procedures, you can visit Shravasti. This is the place where Buddha preached his sermons and lived for most of his life. There are many ancient ruins of Buddhist monasteries at Shrasvasti. Later you will return to your hotel in Balrampur and rest overnight.

10Day Lucknow checkout

We will now check out from Balrampur and drive to Lucknow. We will drop you at the railway station or airport and you can take a return flight or train to Delhi.

Confirmation Policy

Upon booking, the traveller will receive a confirmation voucher via email, within 24 hours.
In the special cases of slots not being available, feasible alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. In such cases, a new voucher would be sent via email, consisting of the new travel details.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation made before 20 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 30% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Due to any restrictions such as sudden government policies or regulations, health hazards, medical emergencies, or unprecedented weather conditions, activities and tours may be nonoperational and be cancelled. In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveller an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.
