On this first day of our tour, we will arrive in Vijayawada, where our representative will pick you up from the airport or railway station and get you transferred to our hotel. Check-in and rest for the night in Vijayawada.
After breakfast, we will go on a sightseeing tour of Vijayawada. Our first stop will be Mangalagiri Panakala Narsimhaswamy Temple. The deity of this temple is a self-manifested deity and the temple is situated on top of a hill. We will now proceed to visit Undavalli Caves, which are one of the finest rock-cut caves in India. We will now visit Prakasam Barrage which is on the Krishna River. Later visit Bhavani Island. This island is situated on the Krishna River and is one of the biggest islands on the river. After this, we will visit Kanaka Durga Temple, which is on a hill called Indrakeeladri Hills. Return to your hotel and rest for the night.
You will check out from your hotel in Vijayawada and head to your next Andhra destination, which is Rajahmundry. You will visit Penugonda Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Temple. The temple is considered to be very important from the point of view of religion as it is the place where the Vasavi Math was established. We will reach Rajamundry in the evening and you can check in at your hotel and rest for the night. Rajahmundry, also called Rajamahendravaram is a city that is situated very close to the Godavari River delta.
You will check out from your hotel and drive towards Polavaram Revu, which is a religious destination on the river. From here we will board a ferry boat and reach Bhadrachalam. On the way, you can enjoy the river scenes from the boat. Also, have breakfast on the boat. You can visit the religious places that come on the way such as Devipatnam, Polavaram, Posammagandi, Papi Hills (Papi Kondalu), and Perantapalli Village. After this, we will catch a boat from Perantapalli and visit Pochavaram or Koida. From here onwards, we will drive to Bhadrachalam. Check-in at your hotel and rest for the night.
We will begin our day with a visit to Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple, which is a temple of Lord Rama. We will visit Parnasala, which is a small village. We will now return to Bhadrachalam and check out from the hotel. Thereafter we will drive on to visit Dwaraka Tirumala. On the route, we will make a stop to visit Maddi Anjaneya Swamy Temple. The temple is that of Hanuman and has wonderful temple architecture. After this, we will drive on to Rajamundry, where we will check in at the hotel and you can have an overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we will visit Satyanarayana Swamy Temple, which is situated on Ratnagiri Hill. The temple is one of the top temples to visit in Andhra Pradesh. After this, we will visit Vizag and check in at the hotel. We will visit Kailasagiri, which is a park in Vizag. The park is situated on a hilltop and offers spectacular views of the sea. Then we will visit RK Beach, which is also called Ramakrishna Beach. The beach is named after the Ramakrishna Mission which is located here. You can spend some relaxing moments here at RK Beach and then head to your hotel.
We will proceed to our next big Andhra destination, which is Araku Valley. This is a hill station near Vizag and is one of the scenic hill stations of the Eastern Ghats. The roads to the hill station are serpentine and go up the hill in a winding path. On the way, you can stop by to visit Borra Caves and some scenic waterfalls. These caves are of prehistoric times and are famous for their eerie and weird formations of stalactites and stalagmites. On reach Araku we will visit the Tribal Museum and view Katika Waterfall. In the evening we will return to Vizag. Have an overnight rest at the hotel.
On this day we will visit Srikakulam. We will visit the very impressive temple of the Sun God at Arasavelli. We will then visit Srikurmam Temple, which is dedicated to one of the avatars of Lord Vishnu called Kurma Avatar. Also visit Srimukhalingeswara Temple, which is a Shiva temple. Return to Vizag and rest for the night at your hotel.
We will visit Vizagβs most famous temple, which is Simhachalam Narasimha Swamy Temple. The temple is dedicated to an avatar of Lord Vishnu called Narasimha avatar. The temple is located on a hill and has an impressive architecture. Thereafter we will visit Thotlakonda, which is a site of a Buddhist monastery. The Buddhist ruins here are spectacularly preserved and you will have an opportunity to view the scenic ocean. In the evening, we will do some sightseeing in Vizag and you can spend the remaining day at leisure or dine in a popular restaurant.
You will check out from your hotel in Vi shakhapatnam and we will drop you at the railway station or airport, as per your preference.
