Your Cambodia-Laos tour starts as you arrive in Cambodia. As you land at Siem Reap International Airport, our tour representative will greet you with a warm smile and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. You can check-in and then freshen up to start your tour. Then head out to visit Artisan D’Angkor, where you can view various arts and crafts of Cambodia. We will later visit Wat Thmey, which is a pagoda and memorial. Wat Thmey is also known as Killing Fields, and this memorial is a grim reminder of Cambodia and its brutal past. You can view the large glass monument filled with skulls and bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge regime. In the evening you can enjoy Apsara Dance Show at a local theatre in Siem Reap. Apsara Dance is a traditional folk dance culture. Artists perform various dance moves with beautiful facial expressions, and gestures, and are accompanied by traditional musicians. After you have enjoyed this performance you will have dinner and rest for the night at the hotel.
Today will be an exciting day of sightseeing as we will embark to see the glorious Angkor Wat Temple complex. We will first visit the Southern Gate and Angkor Thom complex. Here we will visit various temples such as Bayon Temple, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King, The Royal Enclosure, and Phimeanaka Temple ruins. We will proceed to the Ta Prohm Temple complex and from here visit the Angkor Wat Temple complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Every temple here has magnificent sculptures, incredible architecture, and awesome carvings.
We will have lunch and then visit Ta Keo Mountain Temple, which is famous for so many sculptures, carvings, and idols. We will now proceed to visit Angkor Wat Temple, which is one of the largest temple complexes in the world. The intricate bas-relief sculptures, intricate temple architecture, and excellent stone carvings make this temple a must-visit. After this, we will visit Bakheng Hill, and view the magnificent sunset views. The pyramid-style architecture of this ruined temple looks beautiful in the rays of the setting sun. You can view the other temples and enjoy the scenic beauty of Tonlé Sap, which is South East Asia’s largest freshwater lake. You can now have dinner and enjoy a traditional show and then rest for the night in your hotel in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, you will visit Tonlé Sap, which is a huge freshwater lake in Cambodia. Here you will visit Floating Village and go on a boat ride in Tonlé Sap Lake. You will view fishing villages, fish traps, and lush tropical greenery during this boat trip. Later you will visit a silk farm and learn the process of making silk, right from breeding silkworms, extracting silk threads, dyeing, and crafting the silk and handlooms. You can shop for silk products here. Later you will visit Western Baray. This is a water reservoir that was used for the cultivation of crops in olden days. But today it is a spot for swimming and recreation. You will return to your hotel in Siem Reap after this full-day tour and rest here for the night.
Today you will visit the local market in the morning and pick up some souvenirs. Later you can visit Artisans Angkor, where you will find many traditional arts and crafts of Cambodia. After lunch, you will reach Siem Reap Airport and take a flight to Luang Prabang in Laos. When you arrive in Luang Prabang, you can proceed to the hotel and check-in here. You can freshen up and explore some local markets and nearby areas. Later you will return to your hotel in Luang Prabang and have a good night’s sleep.
After breakfast, you will embark on a tour of Luang Prabang and visit some famous monuments and experience the unique culture of Laos. We will first visit the Royal Palace Museum, which has incredible architecture. You can visit the buildings here and view paintings, a collection of statues, and other objects. Later we will go on a cruise on the Mekong River, which flows through Luang Prabang. You will have splendid views of the beautiful countryside and villages on the edges of the river. We will reach Pak Ou Caves, which are caves with many Buddha sculptures in various postures.
We will visit Ban Xang Hai Village, where you can taste the local rice wine. We will now visit Wat Xiengthong, which is a Buddhist temple with Laotian architecture and ornate sculptures, and a temple garden. We will now visit the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre, where you can view displays of clothing, religious objects, and various craft items of local culture. We will proceed to visit Wat Siphouthabaht, where you can view fabulous sunset views. We will wind our tour of Luang Prabang with a trip to the Night Market here and you will find many interesting handicraft items like textiles, street food, paper lamps, etc. We will now drop you to your hotel in Luang Prabang and you can have a night stay here.
Wake up in the morning and go on a sightseeing tour of Luang Prabang. You will experience the local culture and get to see the Buddhist monks on their daily walks asking for alms. Explore the local market near the Royal Palace and find the local vendors offering delicious street food. After breakfast, you can visit Phousi Hill, you can climb the 329 steps, and reach the top. Here you will find many shrines and temples. The views from the top are gorgeous and you can view the valley, mountains, and Mekong River. We will now visit Wat Visoun, which is a 16th-century Buddhist temple. We will now proceed on our tour and visit Kuang Si Waterfall, which is a spectacular waterfall that falls in the shallow pool below. We will now visit Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park, and you can go on a short tour here and watch plenty of butterflies. Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center is another place we will visit and here you can learn something about silk weaving. After this city sightseeing tour of Luang Prabang, you will return to your hotel and stay here for the night.
You will wake up and freshen up on this last day of the Cambodia Laos Tour. Later you will visit the Elephant Village, where you can enjoy an elephant ride. Later you can visit the Tad Sae Waterfall. After lunch at Elephant Village restaurant, you will visit the tomb of the French explorer Henri Mouhot, who rediscovered the ancient temple of Angkor Wat. Later you can proceed to the airport and conclude your tour.
