This is a tour where we have included some of the best sightseeing places and tourist attractions in our North East tour itinerary. You will experience the hidden beauty of the North East part of India and its rich culture and natural landscapes. Tibetan monasteries, natural wonders, waterfalls, high mountain passes, pristine alpine lakes, tea gardens, caves, villages... these are the various places you will visit on this tour. But the most exciting part of this trip is to spot wild animals from atop an elephant and to experience the mystic Tibetan culture in monasteries. You will be boating and visiting some breathtaking places in Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Assam.

1Day Arrive at Guwahati

Your North East Tour starts from Guwahati. When you reach Guwahati, our tour representative will greet you and transfer you to the hotel in Guwahati. After arrival, you will proceed to Kaziranga National Park. You can check-in at the resort/ hotel/ lodge in Kaziranga and then have the whole day to spend at leisure.

2Day Kaziranga Wildlife Safari

You will begin this exciting day with an elephant safari at Kaziranga National Park. This national park is not only famous for its Indian Rhinoceros but is a very famous UNESCO World Heritage Site in India. You can spot these enormous wild beasts in the tall grassy terrain of Kaziranga National Park, and also some other creatures such as swamp deer, water buffalo, elephants, and many more. You will later on visit the tea gardens in Kaziranga National Park and the orchids at Kaziranga National Orchid Park. After this visit, you will return to your forest lodge/ resort/ hotel in Kaziranga and spend the night at the hotel.

3Day Kaziranga to Dirang

After an early breakfast, you will check-out from Kaziranga and proceed to visit yet another famous destination of this North East Tour, which is Dirang. On arrival in Dirang, you will check-in at the hotel. Dirang is a beautiful place in Arunachal Pradesh, with spectacular mountain views, apple orchards, waterfalls, small hamlets, valleys, river streams, and forests. You will now have adequate rest in your hotel after a day’s travel and relax for the night.

4Day Dirang to Tawang

You will now check-out from Dirang and proceed to Tawang on this day. The road trip from Dirang to Tawang goes through spectacular mountain landscapes, snowy terrain, hairpin bends, zigzag roads, and valleys. You will go on high mountain passes on this trip and view alpine forests and vegetation. Sela Pass is a high mountain pass that you will cross on this route. This road is located in the highest elevations of the North East Himalayas. You will visit many places on the way like Paradise Lake, Jung Falls, Sela Lake, Jaswant Garh War Memorial, Chagzam Bridge, and others. When you reach Tawang you can check-in at the hotel/ homestay and stay here for the night.

5Day Tawang sightseeing

You will begin this day with a sightseeing tour of Tawang. This beautiful hill station in Arunachal Pradesh is one of the most exciting places in any tour of North East India. Tawang is a very important and sacred place as it is the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama of the Tibetan religion. We will take you to visit Tawang Monastery, which is one of the finest Tibetan monasteries in India. Tawang Monastery is famous for its Buddhist idols, artistic paintings of Tibetan mythology and deities, Tibetan décor, mandala paintings, murals, library, and spectacular gates. Tawang Monastery is more than 500 years old monastery. After this you will visit Bumla Pass, but only if you are physically fit and have special permits. Bumla Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass in Arunachal Pradesh and is very close to the borders of Bhutan and Tibet. You will only admire the spectacular landscapes from Bumla Pass. After this, you will visit the other attractions in Tawang, which are Panga Teng Tso Lake, and Madhuri Lake. At the end of this tour, you will return to your hotel in Tawang and rest here for the night.

6Day Tawang to Bomdila

You will check-out from Tawang and proceed to yet another famous designation of this North East Tour, which is Bomdila. This is a small hill station where you will find beautiful snow-capped mountain views, Buddhist monasteries, alpine grasslands, and lush greenery. You can make a short halt on the way and visit the Bomdila Monastery. On arrival in Bomdila, you can check-in at the hotel and have the rest of the time at leisure. Later you can have dinner in the hotel and have a rest for the night.

7Day Bomdila to Tezpur

After check-out from Bomdila, you will proceed to yet another destination of this tour, and it is Tezpur. On the route, you can visit some places such as Agnigarh, Chitrlekha Udyan, Coal Park, and Mahabhairab Temple. After arriving in Tezpur, you will do all the check-in formalities at the hotel that was pre-booked for this particular tour. You will now have the rest of the time to spend as you wish. In the evening you will have a delicious dinner and rest here overnight at the hotel in Tezpur.

8Day Tezpur to Shillong

You will now check-out from Tezpur and proceed directly to Shillong, which is the next best destination of this North East Tour. On the route, you can visit Umiam Lake, which is a very famous lake with many water sports activities and boat rides. When you arrive in Shillong you will check-in at the hotel and then rest for some time in the hotel room.

9Day Excursion to Cherrapunjee

You will begin this day with a beautiful sunrise view from your hotel. After breakfast, you will proceed to visit Cherrapunjee by car. Cherrapunjee is famed as the wettest place in India and it rains here continuously during the monsoon season. We will take you to visit the famous waterfall here, which is Nohkalikai Waterfalls. The view of the tallest waterfall in India, surrounded by spectacular canyons, valleys, and mountains is beyond words to describe. After this, we will take you to visit the famous Mawsmai Caves. These caves are the best caves to visit due to the illuminated interiors of the caves. You will enjoy the eerie limestone rock formations inside the cave. The Mawsmai Caves rank among the deepest caves in India. After this visit, you will return to Shillong, and on the route you can visit Elephant Falls, and Shillong Peak, from where you get a bird’s eye view of Shillong. You will now return to your hotel in Shillong and you will rest for the night.

10Day Excursion to Dawki

You will start after a delicious breakfast in your hotel in Shillong and visit the famous Dawki River. The boat ride in this Dawki River is an unforgettable experience to have on this North East Tour. Dawki River is one of the cleanest rivers in India and is so clear that you can view the bottom of the river. After this boat ride, Mawlynnong Village is the next attraction and this is a village with incredible cleanliness and natural beauty. After this, you will visit the Living Root Bridges, which is a natural bridge made from the roots of rubber trees and were made by local Khasi tribes many centuries back. The Double Decker Living Root Bridges is a natural marvel and a marvel in itself. Later you will return to Shillong and spend the rest of the day at leisure at the hotel.

11Day Shillong to Guwahati

You have now come to the end of this North East Tour. You will check-out from your hotel in Shillong after breakfast and drive to Guwahati by road. We will drop you at Guwahati Airport, or Guwahati Railway Station and you can have your onward journey by train or flight.

Confirmation Policy

Upon booking, the traveller will receive a confirmation voucher via email, within 24 hours.
In the special cases of slots not being available, feasible alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. In such cases, a new voucher would be sent via email, consisting of the new travel details.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation made before 20 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 30% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Due to any restrictions such as sudden government policies or regulations, health hazards, medical emergencies, or unprecedented weather conditions, activities and tours may be nonoperational and be cancelled. In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveller an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.
