Lakshman Jhula

Lakshman Jhula is named after Laxman, who was the brother of Lord Ram. It is said that he built the original bridge here in mythological times, and crossed the river Ganga. The bridge was made of a jute rope and it was later replaced by the iron bridge. It is called Lakshman Jhula in memory of Laxman.
