Your Gangtok Honeymoon Tour starts as you arrive in Gangtok. Our tour representative will greet you and we will now drive to Lachen via cab. The route from Gangtok to Lachen is full of Himalayan landscapes, waterfalls, viewpoints, and beautiful scenery. You can make halts to admire the river streams, monasteries, and tiny hamlets that come on the way. The most famous and scenic places that you can halt on this route are Seven Sisters Waterfall, Naga Waterfalls, Chungthang Viewpoint, Meyong Waterfall, and Phensang Monastery. When you arrive in Lachen you can check-in at the hotel and rest here overnight.
You will begin this day with an excursion to Gurudongmar Lake. You will begin early morning and drive to Gurudongmar Lake, which is a drive of around 3 hours by car. Gurudongmar Lake is one of the most scenic alpine lakes in Sikkim. The glaciers, pastures, snow-covered mountains, rugged terrain, and valleys that surround the lake make it even more scenic. If you are lucky you can view the yaks, sheep, and other cattle graze near the lake. Gurudongmar Lake is an immensely sacred lake for Hindus, Buddhists, and the local people.
After this visit to Gurudongmar Lake, you will visit Kalapatthar, which is a valley full of snow and high mountains. You can play with the snow here and enjoy the views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks and valleys. If you are lucky you can experience the snowfall here. Later you will view the magnificent Chopta Valley. This mountain valley is one of the beautiful valleys full of alpine flowers, and mountain landscapes. After this visit, you will get transferred to Lachung and enjoy the night stay here in the hotel.
You will wake up and leave for Gangtok on this day. On the route, you will visit the most beautiful Yumthang Valley, which is a most beautiful valley with magnificent mountain landscapes. You will visit Katao, and view the towering mountain with scenic landscapes. Later you will visit Hot Springs which are famous for their medicinal properties. You will now visit Zero Point, where the mountains and valleys lend beauty to the entire landscape. You can stay here for 1-2 hours and admire the scenery. Later you will view the spectacular Amitabh Bachchan Waterfall, which is named after the famous superstar of Bollywood, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. When you arrive in Gangtok, you can check-in at the hotel and rest here overnight.
You will begin the morning with a visit to Temi Tea Garden, which is a beautiful tea garden with a heritage bungalow. You can taste the tea and see how tea leaves are processed to make fine-quality tea. You can alternatively go on a tour of Ravangla if you wish. We will drop you at Siliguri or New Jalpaiguri after this tour.
