Your South India Tour will start as you arrive in Chennai. Our tour representative will pick you up from Chennai Airport or Chennai Railway Station and transfer you to your pre-booked hotel in Chennai. After check-in and rest, you will have the day to spend at leisure and you can explore the local market here. You can even do some shopping and return to your hotel where a delicious dinner awaits you. After dinner, you can rest in your hotel.
You will go on a sightseeing tour of Chennai by car on this day. We will take you to visit the famous tourist attractions of Chennai. You will visit Fort St. George, Santhome Cathedral, Dakshinachitra, Kapaleeswarar Temple, Elliotβs Beach, and Government Museum. In the evening you will visit the longest beach in India, which is Marina Beach. You will return to your hotel after this visit and rest overnight at the hotel.
You will now check-out from Chennai and proceed to visit another famous destination of this South India Tour, which is the holy city of Tirupati. This city is famous for its incredible temples and these temples rank among the finest temples in all of South India. After you arrive in Tirupati, you can check-in at the hotel and then visit the famous temple in Tirupati, which is Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple. This temple is also famous as Tirupati Balaji Temple. Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is listed as the richest temples in India. The temple architecture, sculptures, carvings, temple towers, and courtyards, are the finest example of Dravidian architecture styles. Later you can explore the local market in Tirupati and dine on some local delicacies. Later you will return to your hotel in Tirupati and rest here overnight.
You will now check-out from Tirupati and proceed to visit Anantapur, which is our next big South India destination of this tour. When you arrive in Anantapur, you will check-in at the hotel and then visit ISKCON Temple. This temple is shaped like a chariot drawn by horses. After this visit, you can explore the local market and spend the day at leisure in your hotel.
You will begin this day with sightseeing around famous places in Anantapur. We will take you to visit the famous temples here. You will visit Ahobilam Temple, which is renowned for its Vijayanagara style of architecture. You will now visit the Penukonda Fort, which is a hilltop fort and the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. You will now visit the finest temples of great architectural beauty, they are the monuments at Lepakshi. The most famous temple here is the Veerbhadra Swamy Temple and the huge temple complex has incredible architecture, paintings, sculptures, and carvings. The Nandi Bull statue here is considered to be the largest statue of Nandi and was carved out of a single piece of rock. After the visit to Lepakshi, you will return to Anantapur and spend the rest of the day at leisure at your hotel.
You will now check-out from Anantapur on this day and visit Kurnool. After a drive of around 3 hours, you will reach Kurnool. You can check-in at the hotel in Kurnool on arrival and then rest for some time. We will now take you to visit the Konda Reddy Fort, which is a huge fort with towering architecture. You will now visit the Yaganti Temple, which is an architectural marvel. This temple is one of the most spectacular temples in South India and is said to be built in the 15th century. After this visit, you will return to your hotel in Kurnool and spend the day at leisure.
We will begin this day after breakfast and visit the Oravakallu Rock Garden. This is a magnificent garden with rock sculptures, water pools, and natural scenery. Many famous movie scenes were shot here. You can do boating here as well. After this, we will take you to visit the Belum Caves, which is a geological site. Belum Caves are the second deepest caves in India and are the finest cave sites in South India. You can go deep into the caves through staircases and view the weird and strange rock formations. The deepest point in these caves is called Patalganga and is at a depth of 151 feet under the ground. Later you will return to your hotel in Kurnool and rest here for the night.
You will now check-out from Kurnool and proceed to another famous destination of this South India tour which is Srisailam. On the way, you can enjoy the magnificent Phaladhara Panchdhara Waterfalls and Sakshi Ganapati Temple. The route goes through forested regions and one of the great tiger reserves in India is also nearby. When you reach Srisailam, you will check-in at the pre-booked hotel and rest in the hotel for some time. Later you will visit Mallikarjuna Temple, which is one of the 12 famous Jyotirlinga temples in India. This is the temple of Lord Shiva and the Shiv linga here is worshipped in the form of Lord Mallikarjuna. The temple is also called Sri Bhramarambika Mallikarjuna Temple. You can spend about an hour at this temple and view the great temple and its rituals. Later you will return to your hotel in Srisailam and rest overnight.
You will spend this day on a sightseeing tour of Srisailam. We will take you to visit the Srisailam Dam, which ranks among the largest dams in India. The various viewpoints on this dam offer magnificent scenic views of the surroundings. You can take the ropeway ride here and view the dam and the forests in spectacular ways. You will enjoy a boat ride in the reservoir and it is an even more enjoyable way to view the scenic beauty of Srisailam Dam. The dam is built on the Krishna River, which is one of the greatest rivers in India. You will now visit a river ghat on the Krishna River at Pathalaganga. We will now visit the Akka Mahadevi Caves, which are natural caves with a shiv linga and a small temple. The caves are very close to the Krishna River and you can reach these caves by boat ride from Pathalaganga. You can view the spectacular rock formations in this cave and the natural beauty all around the cave. In the evening you will return to Srisailam and after some rest, you can visit the Chenchu Lakshmi Tribal Museum. The museum has several exhibits about the tribes who live in Nallamalla Hills. You can view the various objects and tribal huts in this museum. Later you will return to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
You will now check-out from Srisailam and proceed to visit Hyderabad by car. On arrival in Hyderabad you can check-in at the hotel and then rest for some time. You will now visit some special attractions in Hyderabad such as Golconda Fort. The special feature of this fort is the sound and acoustics system by which soldiers in ancient times communicated with each other through clapping and warned them about enemy movements. Golconda Fort is one of the biggest and largest forts in India and is an 11th-century fort with incredible architecture. You will now visit Charminar, which is an iconic monument in Hyderabad. We will take you to visit Chowmahalla Palace and Husain Sagar Lake. You can do boating in the lake and spend some lovely moments. The Buddha Statue in the center of Husain Sagar Lake is illuminated with colorful lights in the evening time and it is a wonderful sight. We will now drop you back to your hotel in Hyderabad and you will rest here for the night.
You have now come to the end of this South India Tour. You will have breakfast in your hotel and check-out. We will drop you to Hyderabad Airport or Hyderabad Railway Station and you can board a train or catch a flight to your hometown.
