Your Gujarat Wildlife Tour starts as you arrive in Ahmedabad. Our tour representative will pick you up from Ahmedabad Railway Station or Ahmedabad Airport and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel in Ahmedabad. After check-in and some rest, you will visit Gandhinagar, which is just 1-hour drive by car. Here you will visit Indroda Park, which has a large space where you will find skeletons and life-like models of prehistoric dinosaurs and huge marine creatures like the blue whale. There is a museum here and an amphitheater also. You can also spot deer, langurs, reptiles, nilgai, and many other wild animals in the forests nearby. In the evening we will take you to Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad and this lake is best for recreation and entertainment. You can do a boat ride in Kankaria Lake and visit the many attractions like Nagina Wadi, the zoo, the toy train, etc. At the end of this day’s visit, we will drop you to your hotel in Ahmedabad and you can stay here for the night.
You will wake up early in the morning, as you will not like to miss the opportunity to spot various birds at Nalsarovar. This beautiful lake is one of the best tourist attractions near Ahmedabad. You can spot many migratory birds in Nalsarovar. They come here every year from Central Asia and Europe. Flamingos, storks, pelicans, and ducks are the various birds that you can spot here. Later you will come back to Ahmedabad and have breakfast. Later you will visit Sabarmati Ashram, Sarkhej Roza, and Adalaj Stepwell. These monuments are the architectural heritage sites in Ahmedabad and are famous for their incredible architecture. In the evening you will come back to your hotel and rest here for the night.
You will now conclude this tour of Ahmedabad and proceed to visit the next best destination of this Gujarat Wildlife Tour, which is Velavadar Black Buck Sanctuary. After check-out from Ahmedabad, you will proceed by car to Velavadar. On the route, you will make a short halt at Lothal, which is one of the best Indus Valley Civilization archaeological sites in Gujarat and the whole of India. Lothal Museum has an open area, which has various exhibits on display such as the Dockyard, beads, wells, platforms, seals, etc. Later you will continue on your way to Velavadar. On arrival, you will check-in at the hotel/ lodge and rest for the night.
You will begin this day with an exciting blackbuck safari at Velavadar National Park. The forests and terrain here are perfect for blackbucks, blue bull (nilgai), antelopes, and other such deer species. Other creatures you might spot here are jackals, wolves, foxes, and striped hyenas. After this Blackbuck safari, you will return to your lodge/ hotel and check-out. You will now proceed to visit the most famous wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat, which is none other than Gir National Park. After you arrive here you will check-in at the hotel/ lodge/ resort, and then visit Kamleshwar Dam. This is a bird-watching area and there are watchtowers on which you can stand and spot some birds. You can visit the crocodile breeding facility here and see how these enormous beasts are bred in captivity. You can now come back to your resort in Gir and do some bird watching. Later you can rest for the night at the hotel/ lodge/ resort in Gir National Park.
You will have to begin early morning for the Gir Lion Safari tour. You will spot the Asiatic Lion, which is only found here in the wilderness in the whole of India. After this tour, you will visit Devalia Park, where you can spot lions, leopards, and other creatures through a jeep safari tour. Later you will check-out from Gir and proceed to visit another famous destination of this Gujarat Wildlife Tour, which is Jamnagar. After you arrive in Jamnagar you can do check-in at the hotel and after some rest, you can visit Lakhota Lake and view the magnificent Lakhota Fort in the middle of the lake. You can spot some birds in the lake. Later you can keep the evening free so that you can rest from your travels. You can have a leisurely time at your hotel in Jamnagar and have a night’s rest.
You will begin the day with a visit to Khijadia Bird Sanctuary. This bird sanctuary is a famous wetland area and was declared a Ramsar site in Gujarat. The landscape of this sanctuary is made of small creeks, marine inlets, mangrove forests, swamplands, marshes, and islands. You can spot various shore birds here and the most common birds you will spot here are geese, flamingos, kites, pelicans, cranes, cormorants, storks, etc. After this, you can proceed to Marine National Park, where you will find a world of aquatic vegetation, coral reefs, and islands. You will find sea creatures like jellyfish, sponges, prawns, oysters, sea slugs, sting rays, mudskippers, sea snakes, turtles, and others. Later you will return to your hotel in Jamnagar and rest here for the night.
After check-out from Jamnagar, you will now proceed to visit yet another famous wildlife destination of this Gujarat Wildlife Tour, which is Chhari Dhand. This is a wetland area near Nakhatrana. After you check-in at Nakhatrana, you will visit Chhari Dhand, which is a seasonal lake. You can spot several birds such as moorhen, cranes, and storks, in the marshes here. Later you will proceed to visit Narayan Sarovar in the evening. This is a lake of immense religious importance. Narayan Sarovar lies at the westernmost tip of Gujarat along the Kori Creek. Here at Narayan Sarovar Sanctuary, you can spot the antelopes or red antelopes. After this visit, you will return to Nakhatrana and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
You will visit the Rann of Kutch on this day and later the Banni Village, which is famous for its Kutch-style homes and desert animals. You can spot unique and rare animals in the Rann of Kutch such as Indian Wild Ass, Desert Fox, Wolf, Hyena, nilgai, chinkara, and other creatures. Later you will visit the famous Banni Village, and the village is a place where you will find unique mud huts with thatched roofs. These are called Bhunga houses and are made from traditional natural materials such as mud, grass, and wood. The Banni Grasslands is an area of spectacular wildlife and the region of Kutch is full of amazing desert landscapes and is teeming with wild animals. You can spot unique mammals here such as desert foxes, hares, golden jackals, flamingos, and Indian Wild Ass. You can enjoy the sunsets here at Banni Grasslands and then have an overnight stay at Nakhatrana.
You will now proceed to visit the Little Rann of Kutch on this day. You will arrive at Dasada and check-in at the resort/ hotel. Afterward, you will have dinner and a night's stay at Dasada.
You will visit the Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary in the Little Rann of Kutch and spot the very rare Indian Wild Ass in its natural habitat. These wild ass species are found only here in the open and vast desert landscapes of Little Rann of Kutch. You can even sport buzzards, kestrels, Desert Fox, and several other creatures. Later you will proceed to Ahmedabad by car. On the way, you will visit Modhera Sun Temple and Rani ki Vav in Patan. These monuments are incredibly beautiful and are the architectural gems of Gujarat. You can check-in at the hotel in Ahmedabad on arrival and rest here for the night.
