Begin this tour when you arrive in Chennai. We will pick you up from the Chennai airport or railway station and you can check in at the pre-booked hotel. On this day we will do a full-day Chennai sightseeing tour. You will visit the most famous places in Chennai such as Kapaleeswarar Temple. The temple is one of the oldest temples in Chennai. Thereafter you will visit the Government Museum which has rare exhibits and a rich collection of ancient artifacts and paintings. We will then proceed to visit the Shri Ashtalakshmi Temple, which is very close to the beach. We will visit the other sightseeing spots in Chennai which include Children's Park, Birla Planetarium, Vivekananda House, Jayalalitha Square, Snake Park, Lighthouse, Anna Square, MGR Square, etc. You will visit India’s longest beach which is located in Chennai and it is Marina Beach. You can spend a few moments at the beach and see the sunset views. You will now return to your hotel and rest for the night after a delicious dinn
We will now check out from the hotel in Chennai and head to our next big destination which is Kanchipuram. The road distance from Chennai to Kanchipuram is around 80 km, and it will take approximately 3-4 hours to reach Kanchipuram by car. Kanchipuram is famous for its temples. You will visit the famous Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kailasanathar Temple, and Varadharaja Perumal Temple. All these temples are masterpieces of architecture and incredible carvings. We will have lunch after this visit to Kanchipuram and dine on some delicious South Indian dishes. After visiting these temples, we will drive onwards to Mahabalipuram. After arriving in Mahabalipuram, we will check in at the hotel and rest for the night.
We will begin this day with sightseeing in the famous places in Mahabalipuram. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with incredible temples and caves. We will visit the Shore Temples here and the iconic temple architecture that is found here. The famous monuments here are the Five Rathas, Arjuna’s Penance, Krishna’s Butterball, and Mahishamardini Cave. After lunch, we drive to our next best destination – Pondicherry. On arrival in Pondicherry, you can check in at your hotel and visit the Manakula Vinayagar Temple. The temple was built even before the French arrived here. The temple is famous for its architecture and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. After visiting the temple you can visit Pondicherry Beach and have a stroll here on the sands. You can see the majestic views of the sunsets on this beach. Later return to your hotel in Pondicherry and rest for the night.
On this last day of your 4D tour, you will see the famous places in Pondicherry. Begin with the Botanical Garden, and later visit the serene Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville Matri Mandir, which is a modern work of architecture. You can visit one of the beaches such as Paradise Beach or visit the Old Lighthouse and drive back to Chennai. We will drop you at the airport or railway station in Chennai from where you can return to your home town.
