1Day Arrive in Leh + bird watching
You will have a great start to this Ladakh Bird Watching Tour on your arrival in Leh. Our tour representative will transfer you to the hotel in Leh. You can find some common birds around the hotel itself such as Tickell's Leaf Warbler, House Sparrow, Western Yellow Wagtail, Common Chiffchaff, Common House Martin, Large-billed Crow, Red-rumped Swallow, Mountain Chiffchaff, Black Redstart, Barn Swallow, Sulphur-bellied Warbler. You will have an overnight stay in Leh.
2Day Leh bird watching
Today you will have a guided bird watching session in Leh. You will visit some popular bird-watching sites in and around Leh. The birds that you can spot are Little Bittern, Baillon's Crake, Solitary Snipe, Upland Buzzard, Spotted Crake, Reed Bunting, Great Bittern, Water Rail, Pine Bunting, and Corn Crake. You will return in the evening and go through the checklist of all the birds you could spot in the day. Overnight rest and stay in Leh.
3Day Leh to Tso Kar
Today you will check-out from Leh and drive to Tso Kar. Here you will check into the homestay and then go for bird watching around Tso Kar Lake. You can target some bird species like the Black-necked Crane, Himalayan Snowcock, Red-necked Phalarope, Tibetan Snowcock, Brandt's Mountain Finch, Great Rosefinch, Ibisbill, and Little Owl. You can also spot Tibetan wildlife species around the lake such as Woolly Hare, Ladakh Pika, and Plateau Pika.
4Day Tso Kar bird-watching
Today you will have a full day of bird watching in the Tso Kar area. You can try to find the key species here like Red-throated Pipit, Horned Lark, White-crowned Penduline, Eurasian Magpie, Eversmann's Redstart, and Ground Tit. The area around Tso Kar Lake is a grazing ground for Kiang, Tibetan Gazelle, and Blue Sheep. You can spot shepherds coming here with their yaks and horses. If you are visiting Tso Kar Lake in the right season, you might spot colonies of gulls and grebes. You can also try to spot Tibetan grouse, ruddy shelducks, terns, black-necked cranes, brown-headed gulls, and bar-headed geese. Overnight stay in Tso Kar.
5Day Tso Kar to Tso Moriri
We will go on a day trip to Tso Moriri Lake. You will go for bird watching and wildlife photography walk around Tso Moriri Lake. We will try to spot key birds like the Northern Pintail, Eurasian Bittern, White-throated Dipper, Eurasian Jackdaw, Spotted Flycatcher, Eversmann's Redstart, Red-crested Pochard, Lesser Grey Shrike, Song Thrush, Saker Falcon, Upland Buzzard, Little Gull, Greylag Goose, Bar-headed Goose, Golden Eagle. After this bird watching in Tso Moriri Lake, you will return to Tso Kar and rest here for the night.
6Day Tso Kar to Leh
Today you will check-out from Tso Kar and proceed to Leh. You can stop on the route and do bird watching and wildlife photography. The high mountain passes and rugged cold desert environment of Leh Ladakh teem with incredible birdlife. You can hope to find key species like Black-necked Crane, Tibetan Sandgrouse, Little Owl, Alpine Chough, and Chukar Partridge.
7Day Departure from Leh
Today is the last day of this Ladakh Bird Watching Tour. We will proceed to Leh Airport after breakfast and check-out from the hotel in Leh. You can board the flight and leave Leh with lots of bird photographs and sweet memories of this bird-watching tour of Ladakh.

Confirmation Policy
- Upon booking, the traveller will receive a confirmation voucher via email, within 24 hours.
- In the special cases of slots not being available, feasible alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. In such cases, a new voucher would be sent via email, consisting of the new travel details.
Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellation made before 20 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 30% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
- Due to any restrictions such as sudden government policies or regulations, health hazards, medical emergencies, or unprecedented weather conditions, activities and tours may be nonoperational and be cancelled. In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveller an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.
