Panorama Point is one of the best viewpoints in Matheran. Locals also call this point Sunrise Point. Panorama Point offers you the best views of the sunrise, nearby hills, small villages, lakes, and farmlands below. The various places you can view from Panorama Point are Peb Fort, Chanderi, and Prabal Fort can be seen from Panorama Point. You can reach Panorama Point by horse ride. The Matheran Toy Tran also is a great way to reach Panorama Point. The forested paths, birds singing in the trees, and view of hills will make your trek even more exciting.

Alexander Point
Another famous viewpoint in Matheran which you will visit is Alexander Point. Porcupine Point (Sunset Point)
The famous Porcupine Point is called as it resembles the shape of a porcupine from a distance. Porcupine Point is also called Sunset Point. This viewpoint offers you beautiful views of the sunsets. A trek to Porcupine Point is a treat in itself, as you walk through dense forests and hear the birds and monkeys chattering on the trees. You will have clear views of Prabalgad Fort from Porcupine Point. If you go during the monsoon period, you will also see many waterfalls from this point. You will also view a cathedral from this point. You can reach Porcupine Point on horseback or trek on foot.
