Your Orissa and Kolkata Tour starts as you arrive in Bhubaneswar by train/ flight. Our tour representative will pick you up from Bhubaneswar Railway Station/ Airport and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. You can now check-in at the hotel and after some relaxation go on a half-day tour of Bhubaneswar. We will visit the famous temples in Bhubaneswar like Lingaraja, Rajarani Temple, Bindo Sagar, and Vaital Temple. After you have lunch we will continue this Bhubaneswar sightseeing tour and visit Sidheswar Temple, Parsurameswar Temple, Sai Temple, and Mukteswar Temple. After this sightseeing tour ends you will return to your hotel in Bhubaneswar and rest here for the night.
Today we have a whole day in which we will tour the famous tourist landmarks in Bhubaneswar. You will visit Udayagiri & Khandagiri Caves and Tribal Museum. These caves are also known as Cuttack Caves. These are magnificent sculpted Jain caves and are very famous in Orissa. After lunch, we will visit Nandankanan Zoo, which is famous for its white tigers. A part of the zoo is a wildlife sanctuary and part of it is a botanical garden. In the evening we will visit Ekamra Haat, which is a market for Orissa handicrafts and cultural heritage arts of Orissa. Now you will return to your hotel in Bhubaneswar and rest here for the night.
Today you will check-out from Bhubaneswar and drive onwards to our next destination of this Orissa Kolkata Tour, which is the coastal city of Puri. On the way, we will make short halts and visit Pipili Village, which is an artisan village and artisans here create the canopies and umbrellas for the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri. Later you will visit Konark Sun Temple. After visiting the famous temple you will visit Chandrabhaga Beach, which is famous as the first Blue Flag-certified beach in India. Now you will drive onwards on this trip and reach Puri. If you reach on time you can view the Flag Changing Ceremony at Jagannath Puri Temple. This is a daily ritual and an 1800-year-old tradition, where a priest climbs on top of the shikhara of the temple and changes the flag. After this unique spectacle, you will check-in at the hotel in Puri and have dinner with an overnight stay.
You will wake up early today and participate in the morning aarti at Jagannath Puri Temple. After breakfast, we will drive to Satapada, and go on a boat trip to Chilika Lake. You will enjoy the sight of Irrawaddy Dolphins and the islands in Chilika Lake. Sea Mouth is the point where the sea waters and the waters of the lake merge and meet each other. You can spend a few hours in Chilika Lake and view the magnificent natural beauty and scenery of the lake and river estuary. After this, you will drive back to Puri. You can visit the Alarnath Temple on the route. We will now check-out from Puri and take the flight/ train to Kolkata.
As you will arrive in Kolkata in the morning we will drive to the hotel and you can check-in at the hotel. We will go on a sightseeing tour of Kolkata and visit the most famous monuments in Kolkata such as Howrah Bridge, Dakshineshwar Temple, Belur Math, Kali Temple, and Mother Teresa House. After this sightseeing tour of Kolkata, you will return to your hotel and rest here for the night.
Today you will drive by car from Kolkata and reach Ganga Sagar. This place is situated at the place where River Ganga meets the Bay of Bengal. Ganga Sagar is considered to be one of the most sacred places in West Bengal and every year during Makar Sankranti, thousands gather here and have a dip in the sacred waters and pray at Kapila Temple. You can spend a few hours here at Ganga Sagar and take a ferry ride and view the mighty ocean and the confluence of two mighty water bodies. Later you will drive back to Kolkata and rest here in the hotel for the night.
Today you will check-out from Kolkata and reach Mayapur by private cab. On arrival in Mayapur, you will check-in at the hotel and after some rest visit Chaitanya Math and Krishna Temple. Later you will return to your hotel and rest here for the night.
Today, after check-out from Mayapur you will arrive in Kolkata and visit the famous Victoria Memorial, Eden Gardens, Fort William, Indian Museum. As the day ends you will return to your hotel and have dinner with overnight rest and stay.
Today is the last day of this Orissa Kolkata Tour. After you have breakfast and check-out our tour representative will drop you at Kolkata Airport/ Railway Station and you can board the train/ flight to your hometown.
