Your Orissa Golden Triangle Tour starts when you arrive in Bhubaneswar. Our tour representative will pick you up from Bhubaneswar Airport or Bhubaneswar Railway Station and transfer you to the hotel. You will now check-in at the hotel and go for half-day sightseeing in Bhubaneswar. You will visit the Tribal Museum, where you can view various exhibits about the arts and crafts of the tribal people of Orissa. Afterward, you will visit the ancient caves of Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves. These caves are a mix of rock-cut caves and natural caves. After this, you will have an overnight stay at the hotel in Bhubaneswar.
You will begin this day with a visit to some of the famous temples in Orissa. You will begin after breakfast and we will take you to Lingaraj Temple, Parashurameshvara Temple, and Rajarani Temple. These temples are masterpieces in Orissa architecture and were built in medieval times. After this, you will visit Nandankanan Zoo, which is a very famous zoo in Orissa. The most famous wild animal you will see in this zoo is the White Tiger. You can also visit the Botanical Garden in the zoo. After this visit, you will return to your hotel and have an overnight stay in the comforts of your hotel room.
You will now conclude this trip to Bhubaneswar and drive on to Puri. After check-out from Bhubaneswar, you will drive on to Puri. On the way, you will make a short halt at Dhauli. This is a Buddhist pagoda and stupa whose architecture is very famous. You will visit the Konark Sun Temple, which is a world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site in the entire India. Konark Sun Temple is the finest Sun temples in India and a masterpiece of ancient Indian architecture. After this, you will proceed towards Pipli, which is a crafts village where artisans make beautiful handicrafts.
When you arrive in Puri, you can check-in at your pre-booked hotel and rest for some time. After check-in and rest you will visit the Puri Temple, which is very famous as Jagannath Puri Temple. This temple is the most important on the entire eastern coast of India. Lord Vishnu is worshipped here in the form of Jagannath. Rath Yatra of the Chariot Festival is the most important cultural celebration in entire India and it is held here at Jagannath Puri Temple. After this, you will visit Puri Beach, which is one of the most popular beaches in the Bay of Bengal coast of East India. You will have a lovely time at the beach and watch the interesting sand art here. After about half an hour at the beach, you can return to your hotel in Puri and have overnight sleep.
This day can be the most exciting day of your Orissa Golden Triangle Tour. You will visit Chilika Lake, which is among the largest saltwater lakes in the world. The lake is near Satapada and is one of the finest Ramsar wetland sites in Asia. You can take a boat cruise here and spot the Irrawaddy Dolphins. You will see various migratory birds here and many islands in the lake. Some of these islands are known as Breakfast Island, Honeymoon Island, and Birds’ Island. Some of the birds you can spot here are Flamingos, Herons, Jacana, Moorhen, Sea Eagles, Geese, and others. A boat ride on Chilika Lake is one of the best experiences of this entire tour. After this trip to Chilika Lake, we will drop you at your hotel in Puri and you can have an overnight stay at the hotel.
You will now check-out from Puri and drive back to Bhubaneswar. On the way, you can visit Raghurajpur, which is an artisan village. The artisans here have been making handicrafts and hand-woven handlooms for centuries. There are beautiful paintings on palm leaves, drawings, wooden toys, Pattachitra bookmarks, and many other items. The colors used in the paintings are natural and the hair of the brushes are of rats. You can now return to Bhubaneswar and we will drop you at Bhubaneswar Airport or Bhubaneswar Railway Station. You can then take a flight or board a train to your hometown.
