Your Sri Lanka Tour starts as you arrive in Colombo. Our tour representative will pick you up from Colombo Airport and then we drive on to Sigiriya. The route between Colombo and Sigiriya passes through scenic landscapes and historical places. You can make short halts at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Here you will see baby elephants being bottle-fed by the mahouts. This is the largest elephant orphanage in Asia and here baby elephants are bathed, fed, and taken care of. Later you will visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, This is the biggest cave temple complex in Sri Lanka and there are wall paintings, statues, and over 80 caves here. We now move on to our journey to Sigiriya and here we will visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later you will check-in at the hotel in Sigiriya and have a delicious dinner with an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will check-out from Sigiriya and then drive on to Kandy. On reaching Kandy you will check-in at the hotel and rest here for some time. Later you will go for a sightseeing tour of Kandy. Kandy is famous for its tea gardens and Buddhist pagodas. You will first visit the main market in Kandy, Gem Museum, Arts and Crafts Center. You can view the various handicraft items, gemstones, jewelry, and other items here. Later you will visit the Sacred Temple of Tooth Relic. This is a huge temple complex on the banks of Kandy Lake. The temple complex has palaces, temples, museums, and other shrines. Here the tooth relic is preserved in a golden casket and is brought out during religious festivals with a grand procession. Later you will return to your hotel in Kandy and rest here for the night.
After breakfast, you will check-out from Kandy and proceed to another famous destination of this Sri Lanka Tour, which is Nuwara Eliya. The scenic and winding roads pass through scenic landscapes, waterfalls, tea gardens, hills, mountains, valleys, and farmlands. You can make a short halt at Peradeniya Botanical Garden. Here you will find many types of orchids, roses, spices, medicinal plants, herbs, and trees. Then you can visit a tea factory and drive through lush green tea gardens. On arrival in Nuwara Eliya, you will do hotel check-in and rest here for some time in the luxurious interiors of the hotel. You can go for a sightseeing tour in Nuwara Eliya and visit the Seetha Amman Temple. According to the Ramayana Sita was held captive here. You can also visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden, and this garden is said to be the mythical garden called Ashoka Vatika in Ramayan times. Later you will stay here at the hotel in Nuwara Eliya for the night.
Today you will check-out from Nuwara Eliya and proceed to another famous Sri Lankan destination, which is the coastal city of Bentota. On the way, you can make a short halt at Kitulgala. The river here flows through dense forests and you can walk in the river and do a bit of canoeing in the river. Kitulgala is the place where the famous movie The Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed and shot. Later you will continue your journey to Bentota and here you can check-in at the hotel on arrival. Later you can go on a leisure walk on the scenic Bentota Beach. This beach is famous for its water sports activities and you can also do some adventure activities like windsurfing, jet skiing, etc. You will return to your hotel in Bentota after an exciting day of sightseeing and adventure activities. You can have dinner and then have a good night’s stay at the hotel.
You will now check-out from Bentota and reach Colombo. After the hotel check-in process and some rest, you can explore the local markets and do some shopping. You will have the entire day to spend at leisure and you can find a good restaurant and dine on some delicious seafood dishes. Later you will have a comfortable night's stay at the hotel.
Today you have reached the last day of this Sri Lanka Tour. After breakfast at the hotel, you can check-out and proceed to Colombo Airport. You can take a flight to your hometown and cherish the good memories from this Sri Lanka Tour.
