This Wild Kerala Tour starts on your arrival in Cochin. Our tour representative will pick you up from Cochin Railway Station/ Cochin Airport and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. On check-in, you will have the entire day for leisure and relaxation. You can stay in the hotel and have dinner with overnight rest.
Today you will go on a city tour of Cochin. We will visit the most famous city landmarks of Cochin such as Portuguese-era churches, temples, and mosques, and view the cultural landmarks of Cochin. We will visit the historic neighborhood of Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace, Paradesi Synagogue, and Santa Cruz Basilica. You can view the Chinese Fishing Nets which were introduced in Cochin during the reign of the Chinese emperor somewhere between 1350 and 1450. After this Cochin tour, you will return to your hotel and stay here for the night.
Today you will check-out from Cochin and proceed to another spectacular destination of this Wild Kerala Tour, which is Mararikulam. On arrival in Mararikulam, you will check-in at the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Mararikulam is a beach-side town and Mararikulam Mahadev Temple is a famous temple here. Marari Beach is a very famous beach here and was included of the top beaches in the world. You can spend the day on nature walks on the beach or indulge in photography. Later you will have dinner in your hotel and rest here for the night.
Today you will go on a sightseeing trip to Mararikulam. You can view the spectacular Malabar coastline at Maririkulam Beach. The coconut trees and the long coastline with a sandy shore are perfect for relaxation and beach walks. The natural lagoons on the beach are great for viewing fishes and marine life. You can visit the mangrove swamps and backwaters and view incredible natural beauty. You can explore the backwaters of Kerala on a houseboat and view the birdlife and marine life. Later you can visit Marari Mahadev Temple, which is the temple of Lord Shiva. This temple was established centuries back and is a very important temple to visit in Mararikulam. Later you can spend the day at leisure activities and proceed to the hotel and stay there for the night.
After breakfast and check-out from Mararikulam, you will visit Periyar National Park. On arrival, you will check into the wildlife resort and then enjoy a nature walk in Periyar National Park. This national park is famous for its lush greenery and the Periyar River, which lends its name to this national park. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best places to spot tigers, elephants, deer, and birds. You can visit tea plantations and smell the aromatic tea varieties. You can go for a boat safari in Periyar Lake and grab this opportunity to spot herds of elephants, birds, otters, turtles, and other animals. After this boat safari in Periyar National Park, you can visit a tea garden and take a relaxing walk in the tea garden. Later you will return to your wildlife resort and have an overnight stay.
After breakfast and check-out from Periyar, you will reach Alleppey. You will check into the houseboat in Alleppey, which will be your stay for the day. This houseboat is like a small hotel with an attached bathroom, beds, and dining. You can explore the backwaters of Kerala on this houseboat. Alleppey is also called as Alappuzha, and this town is famous all over India for its houseboat stay and Kerala backwater tourism. You will have all meals in the houseboat and view the spectacular wildlife of Kerala backwaters. The houseboat will cruise on canals, creeks, waterways, and narrow channels and you can view birds, small lakes, barrier islands, and sandbanks which are formed naturally in the backwaters. You can see beautiful sunsets on this tour also. You will have an overnight stay in the houseboat in Alleppey.
Today is the last day of this Wild Kerala Tour. After breakfast and check-out from Alleppey, you will proceed towards Cochin. We will drop you at Cochin Airport/ Cochin Railway Station. You will bid goodbye to Cochin with many pleasant memories of this wildlife tour of Cochin.
