1Day Cochin to Munnar

Begin your Kerala tour with a drive to Munnar from Cochin. The road route from Cochin to Munnar is spectacular and full of interesting and scenic sights. It will take 4-5 hours depending on the number of stops on the route to reach Munnar. On the route, you can make stops to appreciate the scenic beauty of waterfalls and scenery. You will cross the river bridge on the Periyar River and pass through some spice plantations and tea gardens. On arrival in Munnar, you can rest at your hotel or explore the nearby area in Munnar.

2Day Munnar sightseeing

You will have a full day which you can reserve just for Munnar sightseeing. You can do boating in Mattupetty Dam Lake or explore a tea garden. The Tata Tea Museum is one of the best places where you can see the production of tea and how is tea made from tea leaves. You can do several activities like horse riding, boating, nature walks, and exploring a dairy farm. There are several viewpoints like Echo Point, Photo Point, and Pothanmedu Viewpoints in Munnar which give you panoramic views of the valleys and mountains. After lunch, you can do a wildlife safari at Eravikulam National Park. You can visit famous waterfalls like Lakkom Waterfalls, or explore the Shola forests and their wildlife species. If you are lucky you can catch sight of a Nilgiri Tahr, perched delicately on the mountain cliffs. In the evening you can have a rest in your hotel.

3Day Munnar to Varkala

You will now check out from your resort in Munnar and drive on to your next big Kerala destination, Varkala. This is a coastal town which is famous for its temples and beaches. Munnar to Varkala is a drive of approximately 7-8 hours. On arrival in Varkala, you can rest in your hotel or visit a nearby temple. Varkala has a very idyllic and easy-going vibe to it and you can soak it in and get refreshed. Explore the seacoast and watch the fishing trawlers anchored on the beach.

4Day Varkala sightseeing

After breakfast, you can have a full day of sightseeing in Varkala. Visit the famous Varkala Cliff from where you can view the endless sea and the beaches. You can visit Sivagiri Mutt, which is a sort of ashram. There are many beaches nearby like Kappil Beach, Chilakkoor Beach, and Edava Beach which you can explore. After this, you can visit the backwaters of Varkala and visit Ponnumthuruthu Island, which is a ferry ride from Nedunganda Jetty. You can spend an hour on the island and come back and rest for the day.

5Day Varkala sightseeing

You can visit the other popular places in Varkala on this day or entertain yourself with cultural activities. Balimandapam is one of the famous places in Varkala where you can see priests and pilgrims performing rituals. You can take a boat ride at Kappil Lake and spot birds and fish. Anjengo Fort is located in the backwaters of Varkala and is a historic place. You can spend the rest of your day with Yoga sessions, or take an herbal spa treatment. You can shop around for some souvenirs and gifts. Afterward, come back to your hotel and rest for the night.

6Day Varkala to Alleppey

Today, you will check out from Varkala and drive to Alleppey. The cab drive from Varkala to Alleppey is just about 2-3 hours. Alleppey is a city on the coast of Kerala which is also known as Alappuzha and is famous for its backwaters and houseboat tours. As you arrive in Alleppey you can check in at your houseboat and have a light breakfast. Afterward, explore the canals and lagoons and see fishing villages and the rural life of Kerala. In the evening you can step ashore and visit nearby places such as Alappuzha Beach where you can sit for some time and admire the sunsets. You can visit Ambalappuzha Sree Krishna Temple and take part in the festive vibes. In the evening you can have Kerala dinner and rest for the night in your houseboat.

7Day Alleppey sightseeing by houseboat

You will have a full day of Alleppey sightseeing in a houseboat. You can see the passing villages, huts, and birds and enjoy the pristine views of the tranquil backwaters. You can step ashore and walk on the paddy fields, or see the lifestyle of the people who live on the backwaters. You can do some sightseeing on lands such as St. Mary’s Forane Church, Mullakkal Rajeshwari Temple, and Vembabad Lake. This lake is a haven for birds and you can spot these birds as they hover on the surface and fly past you. See the scenic sights of Kerala on this day or enjoy meals in your houseboat. You can then rest for the night in your houseboat after a full day’s tour of Alleppey.

8Day Marari Beach

You will now check out from Alleppey and head to Marari Beach. This is just half an hour's drive from Alleppey. This beach is one of the best beaches in Kerala. You can check in at your hotel in Marari and have a nice stroll on the beach. In the evening you can enjoy dinner and rest for the night.

9Day Marari Beach to Cochin

After checkout from Marari, head to Fort Kochi. This is a historic place in the city of Cochin and is famous for Portuguese-era monuments, palaces, and churches. You will visit Santa Cruz Cathedral, Mattancherry Palace, and St Francis CSI Church, and take a walking tour of Jew Town. In the evening you can visit the oldest synagogue in India, which is called Paradesi Synagogue. Explore the Dutch Cemetary and Bolgatty Palace. After this, come back to your hotel and rest for the night.

10Day Departure from Cochin

You will now check out from your hotel in Fort Kochi after breakfast, and drive to the airport or railway station in Cochin. On the way, you can shop for some popular things like tea and coffee, local handicrafts, aromatic oils, spices, banana chips etc. This last day brings an end to your 9N 10D Tour of Kerala.

Confirmation Policy

Upon booking, the traveller will receive a confirmation voucher via email, within 24 hours.
In the special cases of slots not being available, feasible alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. In such cases, a new voucher would be sent via email, consisting of the new travel details.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation made before 20 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 30% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Due to any restrictions such as sudden government policies or regulations, health hazards, medical emergencies, or unprecedented weather conditions, activities and tours may be nonoperational and be cancelled. In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveller an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.
