Also, visit the famous Mattancherry palace in Cochin and explore the local markets and buy some souvenirs. Return to your hotel and rest for the night.
The second day of your tour takes you to the scenic hill station of Munnar. The drive from Cochin to Munnar is scenic in itself. You will visit scenic waterfalls like Cheeyappara waterfalls and Valara waterfalls. The scenic road route to Munnar is full of tea gardens, valleys, and rolling mountain views. After you arrive in Munnar you can go for half-day sightseeing here. Go boating in Mattupetty Lake or go horse riding here. You can pass this time at leisure in your resort and have a relaxing evening.
You can start your day with a visit to Eravikulam National Park. You can go on a jungle safari and do many things over here. Spot rare Nilgiri Tahr and other creatures such as panthers or tigers. You can go to the top of the national park and views the scenic landscapes of the dense forests. You can venture to visit the natural waterfalls in this national park such as Lakkam Falls. You can visit Tata Tea Museum in Munnar and see how tea is made from tea leaves. Later you can go sightseeing in Munnar. There are some magnificent points from where you can see the entire landscape of Munnar. Some famous points are Echo Point, Photo Point, and Pothamedu View Point. On this day you will visit the next best Kerala destination, and that is Thekkady. The road route traverses through dense forests and mountainous roads. You will enjoy this road route as you will savor the beautiful sights of the valleys, mountains, and waterfalls. After arrival at Thekkady resort, you will rest for some time and then go for an exciting jungle safari in Periyar National Park. This is one of the finest national parks in Kerala. View herds of wild elephants basking in the shade of trees, or a jungle cat cross your path. You can bring your binoculars along with you to spot the wildlife from close range. You can enjoy boating in Periyar Lake. Later on, you will return to your resort in Thekkady and take adequate rest for the night.
You will arrive in Alleppey on this day after checking out from Thekkady. You can check in at your houseboat in Alleppey and explore the wonderful backwaters that have made Kerala famous all over India. These backwaters have several river inlets, lagoons, and water channels. Sail through these backwaters and explore the idyllic life in the villages. You will dine in your houseboat and rest for the night.
You will now head to the beach destination in Kerala which is called Kovalam. The distance from Alleppey to Kovalam is just about 5 hour journey by private car. On your arrival in Kovalam, you spend the rest of your day either sightseeing around the place or resting at your hotel. Kovalam is known for its clean beaches and leisure activities. You can have a refreshing Ayurvedic massage therapy or go for a Yoga session. Walk on Kovalam Beach. Kovalam is the best place where you can pitch a tent on the beach and lay idle watching the sunsets. Samudra Beach, Hawa Beach, Lighthouse Beach, and Adimalathura Beach are among the best beaches in Kovalam. Lighthouse Beach has a lighthouse from where you can have scenic views of the sunsets.
