Your Darjeeling Gangtok Honeymoon Tour starts as soon as you arrive at Bagdogra Airport/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. Our tour representative will greet you and then drive you to Darjeeling. When you arrive in Darjeeling you will do all the check-in formalities at your hotel. Afterward, you can rest for some time in your hotel room and then explore the local market in Darjeeling. You can have the entire time to yourself as you taste local Tibetan delicacies here in restaurants. The shops are full of handicrafts and souvenirs. After a romantic stroll in the market, you can come back to your hotel room and spend the rest of the night in each other’s company.
You will wake up early on this day to witness the beautiful sunrise views. We will take you to Tiger Hill where you can view the most beautiful sunrise views. You will see an entire mountain range from Tiger Hill and the most thrilling sight is that of the mighty Kanchenjunga mountain peak shining in the golden rays of the sun. You can also view Mount Everest from here.
Later you will visit the Ghoom Monastery, which is a Tibetan monastery with incredible architecture. The 15-foot high idol of Maitreya Buddha was made from clay which was brought from Tibet. Later you will visit the Batasia Loop, which is the Darjeeling Toy Train route. The beautiful sights of mountains and valleys from here and the serpentine toy train route are fascinating.
After breakfast, you will visit other sightseeing places in Darjeeling. You and your spouse will enjoy all these places. We will take you to visit Darjeeling Zoo, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling Ropeway, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Help Center, Tea Estate, and Peace Pagoda. You will cover all these places by car and come back to your hotel room in the evening. You can now have rest and overnight stay at the hotel.
This third day of your Darjeeling Gangtok Honeymoon Tour will take you to another very famous hill station, which is Gangtok. After you arrive in Gangtok, you can check-in at your hotel and do a sightseeing tour of Gangtok by car. We will take you to visit the Do Drul Chorten and Rumtek Monastery. These are Buddhist monasteries with unique Tibetan culture and Tibetan architecture.
You will visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, where the museum has ancient artifacts and Buddhist paintings. You will see the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, where the artisans create various paintings and handicraft items. You can buy some items if you like and the best things here which you can buy are dolls, hats, wooden lamp stands, wooden framed mirrors, etc.
Later you can visit the Enchey Monastery, where there are various images of Buddhist deities, manuscripts, sculptures, and a large collection of masks. In the evening you will visit the Flower Show in Gangtok, and you can view various orchids, flowers, and other plants which grow only in the Himalayan regions. After this tour, you will come to your hotel in Gangtok and rest overnight with your loved one.
You will go on an excursion to Tsomgo Lake on this day. You will begin this tour after breakfast and visit Tsomgo Lake. This lake is one of the pristine and pure lakes in the high altitudes of the Himalayan mountain ranges. The view of the glaciers, snow-capped mountain tops, valleys, and the lake in the center of all these is pretty outstanding. But still thrilling is the yak ride here. One strange fact about Tsomgo Lake is that it appears to change its colors every season. The shores of the lake have wild blooming flowers with patches of snow and greenery.
You will now visit Baba Mandir, which is a shrine of Sepoy Harbhajan Singh. He was a soldier who died during the battle but soldiers say that his soul still visits the place and therefore they built this shrine. In the evening you will come to your hotel in Gangtok and have an overnight rest.
You have now come to the end of this Darjeeling Gangtok Honeymoon Tour. After breakfast, we will drop you to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and you can catch a flight or train to your hometown.
